I see . You went there before
cool xD
I have been there during summer and winter.

Big city.

Aside from the weather and the big lakes (which looks like ocean) it is not all that much different from SG.

In fact SG probably more modern without homeless roaming the streets downtown.

I would recommend visiting Canmore Banff Lake Louise and Jasper during summer. Canadian Rockies. Beautiful turquoise lakes. Maountain peaks. Columbia Icefield glacier.

In winter you can go to the ski resorts if you ski.

Calgary will be the closest big city to the above mentioned places. When we drive around Calgary we can see the mountains

Is this counted

Some will ask

Where are you from ?
because he is mixed

Singaporean and Canadian mix lol
Singapore and Canadian mix is a mix of nationality. Not ethnicity.

Canadians come in many ethnicities. White. Middle eastern. Latino. Oriental chinese. South Asian. Vietnamese. Thai. African. Japanese. Korean.

Hence saying Singapore and Canadian mix could be many things. Malay singaporean and Latino Canadian? Or vietnamese canadian and indian Singaporean?

Eurasian is not a term used in Canada.

Actually I have only heard of it from my time in Singapore.

You say eurasian I think most people in the world outside of SG have bo idea what it refers to ethnic wise.

Europe got many ethnicities too. But usually by nationality. Greek. Italian. Scot. Spanish. Portuguese. Brit. Dane. Swede. Swiss. Dutch. Ukraine. Serb. Croat. Russian.

Asian? China? India? Egypt? Pakistan? Iraq? Iran? Vietnam? Thailand? Japan? Korea? Jordan? Yemen?

Statscan has done census. Thee 2021 Census provides more detail on the ethnocultural and religious facets of Canadian society than ever before. In fact, more than 450 ethnic and cultural origins, 200 places of birth, 100 religions and 450 languages were included in this census.

Unlike SG there are many many races in Canada. It is metropolitan.

Singapore's "multi racial"is actually a misnomer. More like majority chinese with minority Malay and Indian. And sprinkling of small numbers of "others".

I always found it strange, in asia mix of blood you get a new tag. But in the west its like "Oh I'm half irish half german" or something like that, you dont get a new tag.

I suspect its a way for colonial europeans to designate that half breeds are mongrels thus can see no up and dont need to give the full benefits of their superior race/blood.

Maybe from history.

But modern Canadiand dont look at it that way anymore. There are so many different races and mixed marriages. People are just people. There are people who will say part German part Irish part Pakistani. Dont bother asking lah. What difference does it make right?

Singaporeans are the ones very focused on racial divides and racism. Chinese in SG still see themselves majority and want to keep it that way if Il am not wrong.

Quebec is pretty much separate from Canada.
Their values and ideas different. Got law to force use of French over English. Also they are not part of CPP. Their health cate dont participate in reciprocal claims.
Immigration also not oart of Federal.
I dont consider Quebec as Canadian. And I think they dont think of themselves as Canadian first. Quebecois first Canadian second.

Who cares about Singapore actors and actresses in Canada when there are so many Hollywood and major TV stars who are Canadian?

I guess this is a Singapore centric forum that's why.
