You can actually buy a luxurious 4br freehold in St Thomas area at 4m plus.

20 yrs down the road, i doubt the value will appreciate faster than St Thomas area.

If the person can afford or rent that area, what make you think he cares about the MRT line? I think he will worry the carpark allocation and have sleepless night where to park his ferrari.

Haha, depends. If many people are so ‘encouraged’, who is to say who is right or wrong. St Thomas which project? 8 St Thomas was bad in my opinion, claustrophobic with other buildings and layout lagi inefficient. Nothing feels really unique about it.

anyway, i like mrt connectivity. I drive, but my kids don’t. I also don’t think i should be driving them all the time. Plus friends visiting, many of them don’t have cars.

Just wondering, to earn the $100k would buying resale be a less risky option? 3 years rental while a new launch is under construction is around $100k. Taking away interest and other costs should still be pretty close especially if you bought in 2018 or 2019 and selling now.
