is this suitable to take photos for toddlers? when will it be available in SG?
with fast continuous shooting capability n good low light capability means can use faster shuttle speed (something hp n cheaper camera r poor at) to freeze n capture movements of toddler.
i was using S90 n now S100 (S120 next :s8:), my main target is toddler too. :D

Hi. How will the new (I think it's new) Lumix LF1 compared with the S120? Or even the S110? Are they in the same class of compacts?

found 1 quick hands on review by techradar:
Hands on: Canon S120 review | Compact cameras Reviews | TechRadar

"The special thing about Digic 6 in these models is that not only should low light performance be greatly improved from previous models, but continuous shooting can offer something pretty exciting. The Canon S120 can shoot at 9.4fps (JPEG only, no continuous autofocus) without a buffer. That means that it can shoot, in theory, until your card is full without stopping. You can also stop shooting and restart without any lag."

i will love the stop n restart without lag part as it will b great when capturing toddlers. :D

hmm

I picked up the S110 2weeks ago for my gf since S120 is arriving soon in Singapore.

I got it for $380 with canon powershot casing + $50 taka voucher.

It's a really good deal for those who want a simple point and shoot at an affordable price.

not bad.. still got cleaning kit

I tried to ask them upgrade the 8gb card to 16gb, they refused...
asked for screen protector also refused..... kept saying they only profit a couple of dollars...

But i thought it was cheap, so I just buy it as it's a good camera for my gf.... much better than all the other ixus priced at almost $300

im more inclined to buy from John, nothing against SLR just that no use of the cleaning kit. somehow i dun like alan photo, haha

but if I buy now, may be a bit too early for waifu birthday, then got to hide it somewhere coz it is supposed to be a surprise......
