may i ask if i pay prudential premium monthly via credit card and this month i pay using cardup (for next month premium). Will my credit card still be charged next month ?

if the cardup payment reach prudential at least say 5 days before the giro deduction the credit card will not be charged.

Income Tax Giro

Hi

Does anyone knows why my cardup payment to my income tax is 5 days before my GIRO deduction date but my income tax GIRO still deducts the full amount?

:(

u guys received an email from cardup regarding some changes in TOS and privacy policy?

" 10. Prohibited Activities

The CardUp service is designed and offered to you by us on the condition that you do not do any one or more or all of the following things:

make a payment that is not in exchange for a product or service in a genuine commercial transaction with a third party vendor or service provider in an arms’-length transaction – for example, you must not use the CardUp service to make payments to your friends and family

register your credit card on more than one account – you must not use, or allow someone else to use, your payment card across multiple CardUp accounts

maintain more than one CardUp account

provide incorrect, incomplete or inaccurate information when you open or use a CardUp account

share your username and/or password with others or giving access to your CardUp account to anyone else (for example, relatives, friends, acquaintances)

use someone else’s CardUp account to make payments for yourself
make a prepayment or an overpayment or making a payment for an amount larger than what is owed by you to the payee / recipient (for personal users) or by the relevant business (for business users) – you must not use the CardUp service to overpay your tax, supplier, insurance, rent, etc.

make a payment for someone else – you may use the CardUp service only to make payments that are due by you or, where CardUp permits it, your spouse and/or children under the age of 18 (for personal users) or by the relevant business (for business users)

pay with a payment card that does not belong to you – the name you provide to us for your CardUp account must match the name on a payment card you use to make a payment using the CardUp service

3 Changes to the CardUp service
We intend to continually update and improve the functionality of the CardUp service in our sole discretion. Consequently, you acknowledge and agree that we may modify it, for example, to include new functionality and/or features and/or to delete existing functionality and/or features without the need to notify you in advance.

This clause pretty irresponsible.......

Hi all, new to CardUp/iPayMy and wanted to ask if anyone had any advice on best cards to use currently that attract most miles?

I have a couple of large monthly expenses I’d like to utilise (tax and rent) and want to get best benefit. Currently have Amex KrisFlyer and SCB Infinite Visa but happy to apply for new card if it would mean considerably higher miles.

Thanks!

With the new terms and conditions,is there any impact on cardup to pay income tax? After reading it strikes me as no impact but I may have missed something.

To ensure tax payments can be processed smoothly in alignment with guidelines from the local tax authority, we have introduced some changes to the income tax payment process on CardUp, effective immediately.

As a result of these changes, your scheduled tax payment has been put on hold. To proceed with your tax payment, we’d need you to do the following:

Provide an up-to-date copy of your Statement of Account, showing your (1) Name (2) NRIC/FIN (3) Outstanding tax balance (4) Date of outstanding tax balance. A guide on how to download this from your account on myTax Portal can be found here

If your current scheduled payment does not match the outstanding tax balance in your Statement of Account, you would need to edit your payment amount to exactly match the outstanding balance payable as shown in your Statement of Account

Once we verify that the amounts match, we will proceed with your payment as normal

Please also note the key changes we have made to ensure your annual income tax payments are processed smoothly:

Only one tax payment per tax account will be allowed on CardUp within a one-year period

The payment amount made through CardUp must exactly match the outstanding tax balance in the up-to-date Statement of Account provided when setting up payment

Income tax payments can only be set up within a fixed payment window monthly. This is to allow the local tax authority sufficient time to process each payment, and to prevent any potential reconciliation issues with your payment.
