Cardup just completed payment of my insurance premium. The insurance company told me need to verify my credit card details. How come when using cardup to pay, it is reflected as a credit card transaction rather than a "bank transfer" transaction?

Anyone with similiar experience?

Did you send an email to inform the insurer about this payment?
Is your policy currently under GIRO?

I did not email them about this payment. Its the first premium payment, not renewal.

After cardup paid them, they inform my agent that "premium has been paid by credit card". Which made no sense because its a bank transfer.

Ps. Cardup has informed me that it will be reflected as bank transfer and there was no issues faced by other TM transaction. I must be unlucky

Should be yes for credit card online 5% rebates, coz boc partner with CardUp in promotion. Wait for my statement in mid-Oct then I can confirm.
I don't have smart saver account.

yes. it is different from giro form.
I used the default details in card up, the default details actually also stated in TM another webpage for bank transfer mode of payment.
