went to the website, not very credibly done up.

hard to find information. Is this service reliable?

it has been around for years, and see the number of post in this discussion. CardUp is one of the first that offered chance to pay and earn on credit cards and others followed.

I plan to pay for my monthly Stashaway deposit with CardUp service (cardup.co).

Will this be possible?

What can I pay with CardUp?

Was looking at CardUp and chance upon this thread. I noted CardUp supports payment of insurance premiums. Has anyone use CardUp to pay regular saving/investment plan with financial institution like Fundsupermart and still eligible for credit card cashback?

Hi. Folks who pay insurance premium via Cardup/ipaymy : do you typically call up the company in advance and let them know about the alternative mode of payment? I already have a GIRO arrangement hence wondering whether there will be double payment if I don't let them know beforehand. Thanks

PS : In my case provider is Aviva

Why would someone use card up for miles giving 1.4 miles per dollar and getting charged 2.6%?

I can understand if we are using one account which could possibly yield up to 5% interest. Will be happy for someone to enlighten me.

They do run promos/extended offers where the charges are ~1.8-1.9% given the advent of bank based services of similar nature (citipayall and sc easybill). Although agree with your assessment on earning only base miles 1.2-1.4 mpd even with the reduced fee.
The only time it makes sense is when you have opportunity to stack a big ticket spending ( IRAS tax , annual insurance premium etc) with card specific promos for bonus miles. For example amex ascend card has a promo going on for bonus 12k miles for 10k spend in a single receipt. If you do a 10k IRAS payment, you stand to get 24k miles for a cost of 260 SGD. If you got your card application timed right , this could be stacked further with bonus 15k miles for 6k spend and in a quarter for Amex kf ascend and 5k bonus miles if you are new to amex. So in theory, one can get 44k miles with 260sgd in fee if you get all your variables correct :). Hope this helps.

PS : I do realise the time value of money when it comes to paying 10k in one go vs 12 months giro, but even if you add in the annual interest (assume very generous 3%), it will be still approx 400sgd for 44k miles - still 110mpd :)
