You don’t.You will have to use AWS and read up from its documentation and other sources to be well informed. AWS documentation is rather comprehensive but one can be lost in it easily too if you are not competent to a certain level because you wouldn’t have enough depth to know what to look for. Thus passing the certification is not equivalent to knowing AWS deep enough to architect robustly. There are gotchas along the way that I found out using it extensively in my projects and also research on my own. I say it will take between 1-2 years of real using it to be familiar, and more years to keep up with the ever changing features in AWS. AWS is really large today versus a few years back. That being said you don’t need to be good in all services to be relatively competent in it.

Since employers are looking for people with experience, how can an individual learn AWS until he becomes hireable? Does it requires doing alot of side projects to explore AWS?
