If u are still young and no existing conditions, good to consider the comprehensive supplement for 2ADL.
Met an old uncle neighbour on wheelchair and with stroke in one hand.
He requests me to help him cut his finger nails as he unable to do so himself.
Guess if he is covered under 2ADL should be able to claim.
no $$ liao...... need to buy so many thing

I am actually thinking of paying till 100. Because the monthly premiums will be lower thus it is more worth if i claim earlier (say 50 or 60). I am 35 now.

Am i missing out on any disadvantages?

Both Medishield and Careshield life are compulsory

No right or wrong, depend on your comfortability

NTUC wrote to me that government will take over my Eldershield 400 and that the government will write to me before end 2021. But according to government, for older people born before 1970, it is optional and they will not write to them. They should at least send an official letter (instead of news media) to these people to tell them that it is optional and they have to apply if they want to be included. Some of them are paying for years and they to make informed decision ....

There are 2 separate matters here:
1. Government taking over of Eldershield from private insurers.
2. Opting in to join Careshield Life for those born before 1970.

If you do nothing, you will remain on Eldershield 400 which is now government administrated.

Is there a way to find out the % of population having 1 ADL vs 2 ADL? Is this assumption sound; that having 2 ADL is more common than having just 1 ADL, because ADL usually come in pair.

Just want to know so what if u know? The upgrade is only 2 or 3 adls and not 1 or 2 alds. 1 adl is extra benefit which is part of it and not the main part of the coverage. And where did u get the info adls usually comes in pair?

I think there's some talks looking at how the ADLs are structured, if you kena 1, you may very well get another also.
