Certainly its not a need. However you must ask yourself, how many people want to squeeze into public transport pushing prams of their kids and bringing elderly parents along.

For every action fhere is a consequence and this lack of suitable transport causes birth rates to plunge again through a social cost
It depend if you are from sale and marketing staff I think is a must time is money.

well, theres always the option to migrate, or marry someone from there n live there.

Why should we migrate out for immigrants to migrate in, when we can empower our future by voting right?

I have University friends who believe everything the PAP says, constantly shares "long articles" from other people, or from pages like Fabrications of PAP and/or Led by Opposition parties.

Some are evidently still 'fearful", constantly digging our late LKY comments on opposition parties.

Some even still go on about AHPETC.

I've been scouring some comments in recent posts regarding the elections from fb, most still blindly support PAP. Comments such as "Rallies are too old school" and "I don't need rallies to know what PAP is doing, all I know is that im giving them the vote" just goes to show how shallow our younger generation of voters are.

It's a pity im overseas at the moment and can't give the opposition the vote, but I'm trying my best catching up with inspiring rallies from WP and SDP.

Of course which is also another problem for the government seeing that the people typically with the ability to migrate are the top percentiles. This has resulted in a brain drain since these are the talents that we should seek to retain.

Furthermore, very often, the ones impacted are unable to migrate seeing that they are the middle class. Not everyone can migrate easily due to job availability, language issues or simply not having enough money to last to transition between moving out here and settling down overseas. This is exacerbated by the fact that Singaporeans were surveyed to have minimal savings and large liabilities outstanding.

Its easy to say we can always migrate but how many people actually can. Certainly it is also not a solution for the nation

How many of us can so easily marry someone from overseas? Save those of us here who received university educations overseas, i doubt the majority even hold close relations with people of a different culture.

You think mail order bride ah

Aiya, nothing to worry. I know many people used to heck care about Malaysian politics until one day, they see Najib going on insane rampages and realize that they do not have enough power to stop his madness.

Many of them are expressing their regrets on social media and I simply laughed at them.

Easy for someone to say. For someone who says we are materialistic and then ask us to migrate to have a better life... Materialistic?:s22:

Our friends are here, our family are here, a lot of memories, a lot of things are all here, but sure, easy for you to say migrate. I wonder why China people don't migrate all to US/Europe/Canada etc...

Not everyone can live like a hermit and is happy being one.

Najib... :s22::s22:

I can only hope that after this election, more opposition MPs would be voted into the Parliament. Fairer policies crafted by constant debate and deliberation by both opposition and the ruling party, a Singapore for Singaporeans.

Then again. You only know a person truly if you are working with her/him and also observe how he behave in his family. Some people fierce in workplace but gentle in home.
Sometimes I feel I wanted to be in countryside with simple life.

You are talking about what? 100,000 of people or millions? 40% of our population migrate? Think carefully.

Why do you expect us to be a hermit nation or else migrate?

Then I hope you are patient enough and be able to resist the temptation of exodus.

I think your options are not realistic and in line with the expectations of most Singaporeans. May as well say youd accept any standard of living so long as you can survive
