You do realise that perfectly capable Singaporeans who are on par with foreigners cannot compete with them on pay right?

Foreigners, depending on what country they come from and their economy status, can accept far lower pay than Singaporeans. How can you compete when they will leave after a few years while you still need to survive here?

Ok some of the complaint is aircon temp set to high at 25 C but we are ISO 14001 certified company we need to follow the procedure for this I cannot help as I not from the operation dept.

Standing too long etc etc.
We have old staff more than 10 year service but new old staff cannot adapt to our work load?

You have some unrealistic ideas of what Singaporeans wants vs what they are complaining about.

They may want condos, but they are complaining about sky high HDB price.
They may want expensive Cars, but they are complaining they can't afford the cheap ones.



I have not heard of people complain to government they can't afford iphones, condos or Ferrari.

Nothing wrong, just that maybe someday in the future, maybe they will go back to China and hopefully by then we are still on good terms with China, not US. Also that those choose to remain behind in SG will prefer us over their old motherland.

Change do come and thats why whenever people tell me that they want to keep status quo by voting same party, I simply laugh off.

Because with new changes, even status quo will be in a state of flux even if the individual or system can adapt. So those people are simply not making sense.

Even so there is nothing technically wrong with seeking a good standard of living that is comparable with our peers in developed nations like Australia or the US.

If our standard of living lags behind comparably developed states, then there is something quite wrong if we do not choose to improve

just think how life suck when u have to count every single budget meal and worry it may cost higher than your daily budget for simple need like food.

How do you define it's a must or a need? Your standard? Their standard? FYI, many are not asking for a luxurary car, and who makes car owership so expensive in Singapore to affect a must or a need re-definition?

Certainly its not a need. However you must ask yourself, how many people want to squeeze into public transport pushing prams of their kids and bringing elderly parents along.

For every action fhere is a consequence and this lack of suitable transport causes birth rates to plunge again through a social cost

1 thing i find perplexing.. people complain about high coe but coe is open market bidding concept aka the same people complaining are also the same people bidding to push up coe.

if people wean off the desire to possess a car, coe prices will self regulate n come down
