China's first two carriers cannot fight 1 on 1 with US carriers. This is a fact that even the PLA knows. 3rd carrier is a sort of proof of concept carrier, where new technologies are being installed and tested. Reason why 3rd carrier is not nuclear powered because they had not perfected the engineering to put nuclear reactors on ships.

rumored 4th carrier onwards will be nuclear powered.

USA took almost half a century to perfect the art of operating Aircraft carriers while china is achieving it at more then half the time. Think that's something to ponder about.
Paper talk is easy.
Before war, anybody can wayang about their war system since nobody can review on it.

when they can copy CISCO technology to exceeding CISCO competence until USA can't compete, but to ban Huawei outright.

every model CISCO has, Huawei has equivalent.

many models Huawei has, CISCO doesn't have.

Huawei know all hardware & software in CISCO equipment.

Huawei is current pursuing 6G, whereas CISCO is struggling w 5G.

Wait. The japs did the same with automobiles and electronics but the US didnt ban them at all. Name me one US electronics company that is equal to Sony or even Toshiba? You probably don't even know why Huawei was banned OR you choose to take it as fake news.

If you follow this fella's postings, he got a lot of imaginary aquantances in China lol. This fella's modus operand here is to claim he knows China well with his wild claims of knowing people there, and having worked there. All to create some sort of credibility to his posts here.

So can just ignore all of this account's posts lol.

nobody knows China better u, one so well connected to (or fed by?) the country that necessitates a detailed stalking of forum members on excel spreadsheets for submitting to the embassy.

I think if a war broke out, many will be shocked by how devastatingly good the PLA has become. It will be like when Japan defeated Russia in the Russo Japanese war. Nobody thought an Asian power could defeat a European power. But more so than just win a war, China will completely overwhelm its enemy.
delusional ...

US perfected aircraft carriers since they won in Midway in WW2. Since then they just owning. Just look at their kill-death ratio.

Nuclear is no big deal on a ship. Almost every UN perm security council member have nuclear powered ship since Cold War 30 years ago. Surprising China still not able to do it on a carrier with a lot of space.
got alot of space doesn't mean it's easier to just put a nuclear reactor on the ship. And since China have to do it themselves it will take time.
There is nothing in what you had said to support your claim that China is perfecting the art of operating aircraft carriers in half the time it took the Americans.

You do know that there's a difference between building platforms and operating it?
Err it's not my claim. It's a fact lol.

2012 Liaoning was commissioned. A refurbished ex soviet STOBAR carrier.
2013 Keel for Shandong laid
2017 Shandong completed
2019 Shandong completed
2022 Fujian Launched and going to undergo sea trials soon.

Took them 10 years to get from absolute nothing with zero carrier building and operating experience know how to now deploying and operating 2 STOBAR carriers and a catobar carrier soon.

Compare to India, similar circumstances in a sense they had a longer experience operating 2 STOBAR carriers.
But took them like more then 10 years to commission their new STOBAR boat?

So I am not wrong to say China is perfecting carrier operations if so much less time. ;)
By your logic and comparison means Thomas Edison and all the early inventors like Wright Brothers are beh kan since they took so long to create a light bulb and plane while in modern times we can make a plane in less than half the time they took.
Carriers is a lot more complicated then plane and lightbulbs lol.

being able to build a carrier and sailing a carrier are vastly different from operating one and using them operationally and effectively in a conflict.

I believe China has the manufacturing might and technology to build a F1 class racing vehicle, but can they form a formidable team to race and complete with the rest currently? Just a simple comparison

What I can infer from this is that PRC can built and can afford to build ships. What we can't determine is that China is PERFECTING carrier operations.

This is a good CNA documentary. I was surprised that the producer Pearl Forss speaks such excellent Chinese. True local talent.

The 3rd episode is the best. The will to defend China is the most important weapon and all of China's censorship is to brainwash its people to the party's ideology. It is like a boosted version of PAP.

I don’t know where people get all these preconceived ideas from. I don’t see American troops being exceptionally brave. If you read about the Korean and Vietnam wars and how their 18-19 year olds behaved despite having overwhelming advantages, you won’t be saying what you said. Moreover if a war broke out the Chinese will have every motivation in the world to win. If my country suffered through a century of humiliation I’d be motivated to fight too. In any case motivation to fight will quickly dissipate in the face of overwhelming firepower. Japan was prepared to fight till the last person in defence of their country during ww2. A couple of nuclear bombs later they quickly kamikazed the white flag and open their kimonos for their amdk masters.

The Chinese had vastly inferior equipment when they fought the US/UN in Korea but still managed a stalemate. Recently, the Taliban fighters roundly defeated a better equipped US/NATO army.

The motivation of the soldiers is the most important weapon.

Nuclear weapons renders fighting moot. However, if China and US engage in a nuclear war, Russia will be the winner.
