Hey everyone!

I've been researching ceiling fans recently and wanted to share some recommendations based on my findings. If you're in the market for a new ceiling fan, here are a few options worth considering:

Bestar Raptor: The fan offers the perfect blend of style and functionality. With its sleek design and efficient performance, it enhances any room's aesthetic while providing exceptional cooling. Equipped with advanced features such as multiple speed settings and silent operation, the Bestar Raptor ensures a comfortable and tranquil environment.

PO ECO Hugger Motor PO-03: The PO ECO Hugger Motor PO-03 ceiling fan offers an energy-efficient and space-saving solution with its low-profile design and eco-friendly operation, providing optimal airflow and comfort in any room.

Haiku L Series: Known for its high-quality construction and impressive airflow, the Haiku L Series is a premium option. It features a unique design, advanced motor technology, and optional smart controls. The fan is also energy-efficient and operates silently.

KDK U60FW: If you're looking for a reliable and durable ceiling fan, the KDK U60FW is a popular choice. It offers a wide range of speed options, a strong motor, and a sturdy build. The fan is known for its reliability and longevity.

Crestar Ninja Air: This fan combines style and functionality. With its contemporary design and efficient DC motor, the Ninja Air provides quiet and effective cooling. It also comes with a remote control and various customization options.

Remember, these are just a few suggestions based on my research, and personal preferences may vary. I recommend checking out customer reviews, visiting showrooms if possible, and considering factors like room size and ceiling height before making your final decision.

If you have any specific questions or would like more information about any of these fans, feel free to ask. Happy ceiling fan shopping!

Looking at KDK W56WV vs Alaska Starason or Aspen for living room, which one more windy? Will a shorter blade result in less wind or a smaller wind coverage area?

using bestar and am loving it.
the remote control is not tied to a receiver unit unlike some other brands/models.
i can use any bestar remote, point to the only switched-on fan and pressed the OFF button to pair it.
5sec job. solid!! one remote cost $38 only

Was considering:-

For bedrooms:
1. BESTAR STAR 3
2. CRESTAR Ninja Air

For Living Room:
3. AeroAir AA335
4. Alasaka Hydson
5. PO Cyclone

After comparing them all in a shop, I am leaning towards Alaska for both bedrooms and living room as it has the best overall in terms of aesthetics and height (hugger so closer to ceiling), wind strength (big wide angled blade that was good for wider wind distribution, unlike PO which was only powerful directly under), and response to signals (no lag and no tic tac sound when changing light, unlike AeroAir; not as noisy as BESTAR, whose remote control was of really lousy quality but heard got good customer service).

The only potential problem I foresee is the shadow problem, which I can't really tell as the lighting in the shop is very different from my HDB room. I think CRESTAR Ninja Air and BESTAR STAR 3 might fare better in this aspect (judging from videos posted by people on Shopee).

Above are purely my personal experience during my limited time in the shop.

Hope to hear some views from users who've used Alsaka for a few years, is it lasting?

Thanks!

I have KDK U48FP. now I have got two issues with it.
1) the fan causing friction sound
2) the blades getting crazed(or chalked?) like plastic powder on surface of blades. is there any way replacing blades only?

he/she should be referring to the flickering shadow when the fan light cast upwards. This is common among ceiling fans except for those which the light is "flat". However, some people are not bothered by that. I find it very irritating though.

The light is below the fan. Why will it cast shadow? Don't understand. To cast shadow, the item should be below the fan light right?

Noticed Alaska sells Haiku and Aerohaus fans. But Aerohaus's website doesn't list any of those fans on sale by Alaska. Seems like Alaska's own fan.

I prefer KDK for it's reputation for reliability but wife very much prefer the timber/ white base design which KDK doesn't have. So I've roughly narrowed down to Alaska Curah (Aerohaus?) and Aero Air.

I would go with the Haiku if it has a lower profile mount and brighter lightings...
same, i prefer KDK, more reliable

Anyone using or used Alpha ceiling fan before? Can't use hugger ceiling fan so looking at the rod-type fan and the Alpha Vc2/Vc3 models looks good. However can't really find reviews for Alpha ceiling fans around, hope to get some info!
