Hi all,
At my current rented hdb, the blade to floor is 2.25cm. Ceiling height 2.6cm.

But I read here recommended at least 2.4cm. Is it just for our safety in terms of height or got any other reason?

For my new condo ceiling height 2.7cm after installing false ceiling. Can I get those malaysia fans where their rods are longer around 35cm? Meaning only left 2.3cm to floor.

Also back in my msia home we find that kdk regulator dc fans are so much stronger as their specs are better compared to kdk remote control fans. Strange. Also the regulator fan we used back home lasted 15 to 20 years while remote control fan spoil after 3 years. Is there any logic to this...

cm or m? floor to height is safety as well as wind spread. You can go as low as you want as long as you like.

kdk regulator dc fans? Are you sure it is DC fan? Most modern remote fan first point of failure is the remote or the capacitor.

I was talking to my electrician who is a Malaysian he told me that I can get Haiku from JB Tampooi because they are made in Malaysia and so far no issues among Malaysians or rather yet to have issues.

  1. Is the mounting bracket for ceiling fan purchased in JB and Singapore different?
  2. Anyone using KDK E48HP or Nodoka JR K12YC? Does this model have weak wind?
Thank you.

I check with them directly they are selling but the discount is not significant after conversion and weighing in custom gst etc savings is like 100-200 only.

Few year back i bought the kdk 48 inches fan with light for my living room

Total cmi especially hot weather when i set max speed is not windy at all.

Despite kdk is a workhorse i don't recommend it and it does not get the job done and expensive

Wanted to buy the Alaska curah 52" de, but after testing it at the shop, i hoot the point one instead.

Curah max 6th speed is around point one 4th speed, in term of spread i don't feel any difference. Curah 1 year onsite warranty, point one 2 years. Point one installation is $10 cheaper.

Overall, point one is $35 to $85 cheaper.

Cos Alaska more expensive, lesser warranty period, and less power than point one lo
