Hi all, finally got round to getting my ancient spoilt ceiling fan replaced. Bought the Prestige M3, installed today.

However, my old fan was an AC fan which was still using the old style regulator box attached to the wall instead of remote. When I was at the shop I showed them a photo and they said it would be removed, but the installation guy didn't remove it and just said to leave it on 4 because the other speeds won't work. Should I insist that they remove it, or is it fine for it to be like this long term?

On a side note, the fan is nice but the remote is ugly AF. Maybe I should have gone with the Alaska Burah instead 💀

that was one of the considerations before I purchased that KDK Airy. Because also I had a few smart devices on smartlife app.

But I like the super dim moonlight on KDK, just like my Xiaomi ceiling light where the lights is super dim. I don't see any other brands offering that kind.

Any recommendation for wifi enabled ceiling fan 60inch with light that is suitable for hdb ceiling height?

I am looking at KDK Malaysia offering of K15UC but it seem like this model will not have sufficient gap from the lowest point of the fan to the floor after installation. Not really suitable for hdb ceiling height.

Any other suggestion?

What's wrong with E48GP or F40GP? Longer blade is not going to get you better performance. The short distance between the ceiling and the fanblade blocks airflow.

Dumb question guys

I plan to replace my 48 inches kdk fan at the living room with 56 inch.

As currently the 48 inches kdk fan can feel the wind

If i get the 56 inches will the wind be stronger ?

Isit the bigger the inches the better ?

Is reverse mode prefer in ceiling fan?

width is for coverage. reverse mode is just for air circulation.

2+ years ago, i was looking at ceiling fan for my renovated hdb. Initially i was keen in PO fan - design and specs appealed to me. But when i was Yafen, the salesgirl told me to skip PO cos their wind not strong, instead introed Aeroair. True enough aeroair felt stronger. So i bought Aeroair a335. Still working well after 2+ years.

Now am looking to install ceiling fan (replace stand fan) in my MBR and study rm. Regretted not installing previously. While im considering back aeroair, greedy me wanna look for stronger wind fan. Seems like Alaska n Prestige are often recommended. Surprised nobody mentioned Acorn.

Saw some of u mentioned about blade material. It reminded me of my parents' Elmark 2000 which uses aluminium. Very strong but noisy. Am considering this too.

If you approach other fan dealers, they will say Aeroair is the low end one and PO has powerful wind. I installed PO and Alaska. I like Alaska for the composite blade. But the PO cyclone and vortex looks very sleek. Prestige is the high end range of Aeroair. But my wife dont like the design. So really depends on individual

Prestige m3 is power. KDK in my opinion is old school fan. I won’t even consider them in my shortlisting

Hi all, am currently preparing for the installation of the ceiling fans in my new house.

Just wanted to check, do I have to ask the electrician to wire it such that when I turn on my wall switch, both the fan and lights will turn on? Worried that they don't turn on and I have to still use the remote control to do that even after I turn on the wall switch

Thanks in advance.

this is determined by the fan controller, nothing to do with the switch and wiring.
