9.7" IPS < S$250 ... I want :s12::s12:
Nova7A S$100 ... I also want :s12::s12:

Chiam liao ... I everything also want :s22::s22:

I feel your pain lol

No camera is gd for ict

I think anything more than 4.3" cannot bring in, cause I was thinking the same lol.

But then novo7a will b 'obsolete'...however, if going, count us in your pursuit

But it'll make nice gifts for family members:s7: It'll still be sufficient to run movies, surf net, read ebooks, play games :) Just that it won't be as fast lol

yes, things gets cheaper as newer and better things comes out. But these 499 RMB tablets marks a significate price point in the China tablet market.

<500 RMB market was believed to be for <=7" resistive screen, 256MB RAM, <4GB storage and old chipset that's near end production. Most won't be able to run any 3D games. IIRC, it had been like these for a few years.

However, now we have 5points capacitive, 512MB RAM, 8GB storage and a RK2918 chipset. A tablet that can run most current 3D games and do well in 1080p videos.

Part of the credit I believe goes to A10 chipset which set a price benchmark for older chipset. Also newer ones.

I'm actually quite excited at this point, I wonder which tablet will be the best value when I go SZ in Feb:s12:

Maybe then I can get a slim 9.7" IPS tablet at <S$250 then. Which I think will be great value. Then maybe buy a few Novo7A (similar A10 tablet) at S$100 each:s13:

Cool. Too bad me no longer going to China for my business trips, at least not for the next 2 yrs. Mostly Taiwan, HK and Aussie now... Japan hopefully... lol...

the specs look similar to novo 7a but slightly cheaper

is this a new tablet?

They are out about the same time. The main difference is it does not have camera. The speaker of VX610W+ is said to have better wifi and speaker is louder.

However, the screen and build, Novo7A is better to the majority.

Found a compare testing chart in Chinese for U.Zone F0C & F1C, I'd translated it to English. I do find this the most value for money tablet. Not sure if it'll be in Singapore, but I may just order the F0C tomorrow if they have any promotion on Taobao :)

Novo7A runs on A10, Uzone F0C runs on RK2918. Overall A10 run smoother than RK2918 due to extra supporting "cores". A10 also has a better power management compared with RK2918. A10 also has better GPU, which will runs higher resolution videos and 3D better.

RK2918 however has more matured firmware as it's been out in the market longer. It's generally more stable.

If you just want to experience the android feel, F0C will be the most cost effective. It'll be able to run 3D games, plays 1080p videos well, viewing large pdf files should not be a problem, surfing net is reasonable smooth. However all this I'll need confirm IF I order one to play=:p

It's really up to you, as this is more of a want than a need. New things will aways comes out or stuffs dropping their prices.

When I was looking for a China tablet for an outstation trip, I ended up getting an xperia play to accompany for the 2weeks trip=:p

To my knowledge there's no news of white version for Novo7A. If you want white A10 tablet, then wait for Teclast P76Ti (should be out end month). It's the capacitive version of their porpular resistive version (P76).

The price is set to be the same as Novo7A.

Lifespan is subjective bah. Though they do come with 1yr warranty. Normally for China tablets the fastest things to spoil is the battery then the digitizer.

I was reading through on the various SoCs used by Android Tablets, and so far, most like the popular Allwinner A10, Rockchip RK2918 and Samsung SPV210, are all running on ARM Cortex A8. However, I'm not sure how many more cores does the A10 have, but RK2918 seems to have 2 (dual core). From my initial survey, the A10 appears to have many "cores" general purpose as well as special purpose processors: CPU, GPU, VPU, DPU & VE. Not sure if these are gimmickry or do they really help in alleviating the load of the tablet.

RK2918 specs manual: http://image.tianjimedia.com/uploadImages/2011/220/T5044I3TW78Z.pdf (page 19 there's a block diagram, showing quite a few "cores" as well).

The pdf is loading very slow. But for A10, here's an artical with daigram :)
