RK2918 firmware update is a nightmare on Win7 64bits >.< I ended up pulling out an old Vista netbook, finally gets it to work.. now flashing slowly -_-

But having it now in Honeycomb UI it's worth it lol

Recieved my Uzone F0C today :)

It has quite visible "cross" screen, however this does not affect the screen display when it on. Comparing to my Novo7A, the screen is not as reflective. The screen looks brighter when both tablets set at 11% brightness, the color looks deeper for F0C with a cooler contrast. Sharpness I feel F0C is better.
Build wise, F0C is slimmer with a 12mm thickness, whereas Novo7A is 13mm. Although Novo7A feels more solid, but F0C aren't that far behind. In fact I feel F0C grip to be better as Novo7A is smooth on the back, making it slippery at times. (Do note I'm a small build Asian). IIRC, weight for Novo7A is 360g and F0C is 330g.

F0C default Uzone custom UI is ugly, looks like a really bad copy of IOS. It runs smooth though, but I would had prefered RK2918 SDK2.1 default honeycomb UI. Everything runs smooth, but not as smooth as Novo7A. If you never had experience with A10 tablets, then you'll find F0C pleasent to use at this price range. Screen is also responsive, a little too responsive at times.
It runs 1080p MOV & MP4 smoothly on default video player, but can't play MKV file. Yet to try other players, but this could had been fixed with the firmwares released on 15th and 16th Nov. I just feel videos looks better on F0C than Novo7A. It could be the colors.

Wifi, F0C is generally better than Novo7A, but there are some drop out now and then. I do believe this will be fixed with firmwares. Surfing net, Novo7A is faster at loading. It's the same as PDF/ebook loading, Novo7A is just better. As for heat generated, I feel it's slightly lesser than Novo7A.

The quadrant standard scores I gotten were between 1850 to 1980+. This is better than Novo7A 1800+. Not sure about 3D games yet, will try it later.

ya that's cross screen. Not a big issue though. Though I find oily screen less visible. I think normally cross screen colors are better.

499 RMB is without charger. Why not consider P76Ti? Taobao think have people selling with charger for 520RMB.

Thanks :) If my hands itchy again, maybe I'll order the momo9 from pandawill for my dad, then review again=:p Or maybe the P76Ti from taobao.. ARGGGHHHH so many choices now lol
P76Ti - 1.5GHz??
N7a - 1.2G (2156p playback)
Momo9 - 1.2Ghz (1080p playback)

the rest they are rather similar spec...
P76Ti seems to be a gd choice (499 RMB ) & its white :p

need to find its support level

I believe P76Ti is 1.1GHz like P76. Anyway it'll be released by this weekend I read.

Actually I'm also tempted by Momo9 since pandawill selling US$119.99 + 5% discount code. Think around S$155 only:D

edit: Teclast support is slower than Ainol I think. Fastest is Onda so far. Uzone has been quite fast with firmware.

Hi everyone, i'm about to buy my first Android tablet today and need some advice.

I've narrowed down to 3 options (in order of preference):

1. Ainol Novo 7 Advanced
2. WoPad A10 (i liked the WoPad i7- but the A10 seems to be a newer model?)
3. Aishuo A7 (for the built in bluetooth)

4. McPad v7 (how is this as a gift for someone who isnt picky?- it cost 100)

Which one would you all recommend? How would you rank each?
I know they are very similar in specs but I'm wondering about real usage and built quality.
I'm gonna be getting one or two from Mcbub (free DHL shipping)

My friend's interested in getting a tablet as well but she's not interested in Novo7 cause it's 7"! Any cheap and good 8-9" ones? The ones we were looking at were either not as popular as novo7 or really expensive! :(

Hi Guys,

Anyways, you must pay for quality. I have personally tried two china tablets. They work. Just don't use them side by side with another Samsung, Ipad, Asus tablet. You will definately see the difference.

Anyways, check found this link

http://androidcommunity.com/asus-tr...and-more-from-best-buy-black-friday-20111111/

The Best Buy Black Friday Sale promotions are out. I am pretty sure that all or most retailers would match Best Buy offers.

As most Bros/Sis would know, the annual US sale is going to be on soon. I am aiming for the Toshiba Thrive at US$279. After GST and freight, the cost would be below $440 (SIN).

Maybe we would check out the offers from the US site next week to see if Amazon or BB, Newegg is matching those offers. I even saw that Newegg Black Friday sale is having 15% on OCZ SSDs. Without 15% discount, their price is already lower then Singapore. Sorry for the side track

yes, I know. I've used the Samsung galaxy before but I just want a cheap trial tablet for now. Later if I like android I can upgrade to a better one.
I want one I'll feel more comfortable modding and hacking.

After playing around with Uzone F0C, I learn to appriciate A10 tablets MUCH better. Everything is works better on an A10 than RK2918.:s8: Only ithing for A10 is the market lack of compatibility.

Will likely order another A10 if hand itchy=:p

Ya P76Ti looks nice. Now waiting for the actual reviews lol

If by Taobao go for Telcast bah. PL Momo firmware update always slower. Only reason for Momo9 is to take advantage of the 1year warranty offered by Pandawill. But slatedroid someone complained their aftersale service is really bad.
