My review of teclast will be ready in another 1-2 weeks. Need to explore and play more.

Meanwhile, some bad points.
- long charging time, need around 4 hrs for full charge and it's always 99%.
- feel hot after some times, but acceptable.
- 3G dongle support not working. Not sure why, but can't seem to get the apn setting.
- the screen protector that comes with it is for iPad. Hence the holes are ugly after applying.

Hope someone can help me with the 3G dongle issue, it wil then be almost perfect! Cheers

This one best wait for review to see if the IPS screen is same quality and how well the new Amlogic M3 chipset works. Cos I read something that the Ramous W6HD using same chipset has some problems (like screen of death)...

Thanks for the brief review

1st time best drain the battery till dead or 1% then do a full charge. It should make the battery reach 100%. I think 4hrs is ok for 6000mAh.

Feel hot is common for RK2918, Allwinner A10 also have this problem but slightly cooler. It'll help if Teclast put a heat distribution plate, but low profit so cut corner

3G has problem? Cos by right RK2918 support lots of 3G dongles especially Huawei.

My U9GT 2 came with a fitting screen protector but the feel of it is bad - too much friction. I think your Teclast A10 is similar to my tablet so if you happen to find a suitable and good protector please let me know.

Most tablet that comes with screen protector, the SP normally CMI. IMHO, best option for China 9.7" IPS tablets will be IPad (not Ipad2 cos got the camera hole) OR HP touchpad

Ipad SP is 1 less hole, that's why I said not Ipad2 Actually if you put the hole on the left side (horizontal), your thumb can rest there when hole it

When buying China tablets, some stuffs just have to live with it, especially accessories

Exactly! Luckily the one that came along did not have any extra holes but the feel of it is poor. I searched the web but couldn't find one without the hole. I got a A4 one from Daiso but I need to cut it down to the right size.

IPad screen protector has the hole, is really ugly.

Rub soap over the screen protector and it will be smooth like butter.

The whole google framework is missing. it'll take more than installing google market^^; Look at xda developers for help.

Edit: Maybe u send me the build.prop (use root explorer it's in system) I try help u get market working.

Since there are new ICS firmwares out for various Allwinner A10 Tablet, I'd make a script to cater for all A10 tablets.

Obviously, I do not have all A10 tablets, so there could be bugs. Also this is to be use at your own risk.

Here's what my script will do for Allwinner A10 tablet:

1. Enable full Android market access like Skype, Launcherpro which were missing from default market.
2. Google framework and apps added (like maps, voicesearch, etc. Location not working)
3. Some Wifi improvements. (May drain battery a little bit more)
4. Improve UI scrolling responsivesness.
5. Render UI with GPU.
6. JPEG quality adjusted to 100%.
7. Photo & video recording quality improved.
8. Added 4 essential free apps option.
9. Fool games this tablet is SGS2 so as to allows you to play.

*If you want to do a batch apk installation just throw the apk files into apps folder.
