was that a single flight booking or 2 separate bookings (i.e thai airways & smile). wonder if possible extend the stopover, but can't seems to find a way to do from online booking
There are different hours of stop over you can choose, but some how longer stop over ticket more expensive

Yea, scoot more direct.

Stop over is 1hr 30 min minimum
Problem is my wife got air sickness, she is better with bigger plane like Thai air or SIA. Actually I wanted to book Thai Air since direct to CNX but now they use Thai Smile which is same as Scoot 320 flight.
Roborovsky, not going stay in BKK. This time main target is Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai.
i don't think u can find bigger plane flying into CNX. CNX is not as popular as BKK & airport is not big itself

Thai Airways international leg may use big plane but switch to smaller plane for local leg

so i guess Scoot still better with direct flight. perhaps just upgrade to better seats to make journey more comfortable for her

If the first leg is Thai airway, then I will pick it. But I check like full trip using Thai Smile.

She has to take motion sickness medication on flight, work well on bigger plane. Smaller plane, after land still have some after effect. Depend on how smooth the flight.

24/1/23 to 30/1/23 ticket book.
Due to timing, cost $640 per ticket. If 8.30am flight from CNX, will be $591. I pick 12.10pm flight, don't have to wake up so early.
7D6N - anyone got good recommend on where to go.
Main target is to see Sakura. Not going to white, blue, black temple/house.
Sakura - Khun Chang Khian
Btw we are couple, wifey got knee problem so can't do lot of climbing, so likely we will hire a driver for 1-2 days.

Where is the better place to stay in CM?
Which area you guys normally stay?

I'm looking at Nimmanhaemin and old city.
Hotel MAYU short walk to Maya mall
Airbnb The Astra Condo, a distance away from the old city, very nice view
Airbnb urban jungle terrace at changklan, just outside the old city, very comfy private house.

Hi guys, pls share some tips, thanks.

I usually stay around the night bazaar or Tha Phae gate, basically to the south-east of the old city wall. Very touristic area, so I shall venture out to better quality choices for my next trip. Nimmanhaemin looks like a good choice.

will be staying at aksara heritage which is very near Tha Phae gate. watched youtube and decided on it lol.

For travelling around, what is the norm (especially for families with small kids)? Uber / taxi?

I also think that Nimmanhaemin area look nice but not walking distance to old city area. There are many market and night market in CM, so I may skip night bazaar, should be more pricey bah.

Can google, must eat is Khao Soi, those 2 I think the best bah. Another is the chicken BBQ.

I read there are songthaew can seat about 10 ppl. Grab is available for city area. Countryside or mountain will be songthaew or hire transport.
When are you going? Did you plan for any day trip?
I saw aksara heritage thru browsing, very beautiful inside. How much you book for?

There is no Uber. You have to use Grab. I don't think they have taxis you can hail from the roadside.

Enough time to walk over, clear domestic immigration then wait for boarding.
Just don't take own sweet time go shopping.
You will be given a sticker to paste on your shirt so that when arrived CNX, they can id you and direct you to collect your luggage.

Better answer you here, don't want to clog the THB exchange rate thread.
