any chance they will get squeezed?

Unlikely since Trump is likely to put pressure on China very soon.

CCP is also completely passive now, they are waiting for Trump to act first before they decide what kind of stimulus to inject into the economy. The sequence is important since they will not act before Trump, meaning the market is likely to tank first before any recovery. This is just my guess but really this is a very iffy situation, crazy things can happen in the near term.

H shares and A shares have diverged greatly recently, CSI300 is still up about 8% from Oct lows but HSI is already below its Oct lows.

Looks a lot like hedge funds running a short book on HK to offset their US long exposure, this is turning into a battle ground for Trump's policies.

I think I'm going to bring forward my EIMI liquidation, also maybe bring forward my EOY rebalancing at the same time.

I sold yesterday but very poor execution. Queue at 35.6 nvr got filled then modified it to 35.33 and got filled at intra low o_O

Used 25% of the proceeds to buy 3067 hk and now down 4.5% :ROFLMAO:

Good thing is i have 75% in cash not affected by EIMI downs today

Valid concern. H-shares can be shorted. The only solution is companies have to do buybacks and cancel their shares to reduce the float.

so china back to bear again?
I think it is just a deeper-than-expected pullback in H-shares since there is no National Team to protect the downside. But today looks like a massive share dump. May be related to the recent Trump appointment news just came out last night.

Anti-China hawks and neocons: Michael Walz and Marco Rubio.

The MSM is trying to push for their neocon swamp candidates. Nothing is confirmed so far, just rumors to manipulate public opinions.

And more anti-China WAR propaganda from NYT (which is absolutely anti-Trump and trying to undermine Trump's incoming admin):

I don't see anything wrong. It is a good move because, at the rate they are going, the well-being of the kids will be affected. A free market doesn't equate to a free right to stress out the next generation. You need to look behind the reason why they are deleted, is it because they are making too much money or too easy money? If the parents cannot get themselves out of the vicious cycle, then the State should step in and at least they are the few ones with the guts to do that.
I tracked your discussion with d5dude regarding the various state-led interventions.
IMO, d5dude is reading MSM and interpreting what he thinks from it.
Both you and I read MSM and interpret differently.

At the end of the day, the only thing I can say is: Xi JInping is taking care of the bottom of the society and trying to lift them up. The top of the pyramid is suffering because of this (d5dude is here, because he is sitting on losses in EIMI).

Huh? Lifting the bottom?
China's gini coef was declining sharply under hu jintao. Since xjp took over the gini coef has stopped improving and even mildly trending back up and stands at very inequal level

Yea, also China's youth unemployment has nearly doubled (according to national bureau of statistics of China) under XJP's reign. He isnt doing a good job if he is trying to lift the bottom.

Other than the old govt pensioners, most people, especially young people, simply arent doing well.

That puts you at the top of the pyramid looking down. We're all seeing the same things. But the interpretation is different depending on which direction you are looking at.

China is a very big country, and actually the local provincial govts are very corrupted, in violation of Xi Jinping's edicts. That may explain your observations. LKY only had to contend with one city. Look at how long he took.

You will always find dirt/deficiency/defects in anything that XJP is currently trying to do if that's your focus.

Now, corruption in US does not seem to be a problem to investors as long as SP500 and NASDAQ keeps going up.

China under Hu JinTao also alot of dirt right? My focus was on the difference in trends under Hu JinTao vs XJP. or u saying the dirt only come out under XJP?

All the way corrupted, since the reopening of China entry of China into WTO for trade. I doubt those leopards can actually change their spots.
I have more faith in the generation born after 2000s. These people are not yet in power and did not participate in the massive corruption in the reopening of China entry of China into WTO.

In short, you can't measure success in changing the ingrained corrupted behaviour of adults in one generation. Most of the time, you need them to just hold things up long enough (which they do grudgingly) for the next gen to learn what is honesty.

By the way, China's enemy is actually the same globalists controlling USA right now. A group of billionaires who control banks and political decision centers of the world, the most famous member being George Soros.

Nothing wrong with selling their body. Maybe they earn more than the typical office worker yet are being excluded from the employment statistics
