no need manual la, just need to play around lor.. think the good place to start with is go android market and downloads lots of staff..=)

can take a photo and show us the screen?? or you can email me

photo0265yj.jpg

here is the pic. os version 1.5, the screen as i said is not in the middle. the left side is 2cm, the right side is only 1.7cm, a bit sian abt that.

another thing is the items are display in 3 columns format, would like it to be four column so that it looks better. screen seems a bit too insensive, wondering if removing the screen protector will help...

oh btw majority usage will be playing games like angry bird... possible?

this one ah.. should be using via 800mhz processor or lesser... the screen all the same for this model la..maybe the button black colour will look pleasing i guess..

play angry sure can play la....but slow lor...and laggy lor.... as for the screen not sensitive is because they maybe using grade B or C resistive screen...

I have 1 unit demo at my side using grade A resistive screen and very sensitive , only 1 demo in sls for pple to do comparison.

can try upgrading the rom but if failed, you cannot use it forever, you want to risk?

mate, if you going to upgrade the screen , may as well buy new one la.

you can try the custom rom you have on hand, some actually help by making it more sensitive but before you do that, do you have a copy of the stock rom?

some custom rom also has real android market too.

Been comparing Dropad A8x, Herotab C9 and Rena3 tablets youtube vids. It seems like A8x runs the smoothest and touch screen most responsive on multi-touch (based on fruit ninja test). All have GPS build-in which I most likely need and under <S$280 with shipping.

Anyone bought from Merimobiles or Pandawill before? I'm thinking of buying online since both offer 12months warranty vs local shop 3-6months warranty. GST no worry cause under S$300.

Expensive if need send back, but if suay suay spoilt after 3-6months (surprisingly this happens often) at least it'll be cheaper than buying a new set or pay for repairs.

Any thoughts or other set to recommend? Thanks :)

Thanks for the intro, but if go for Dreampad I'd rather go with Novo8. Just my personal opinion of value. Dreampad I is resistivity screen which is nono for me.

The pdf link doesn't work so not sure if it has gps and based on the website the multi-touch is 2points, and it's 6months warranty.

I don't really understand why Singapore shop tends to offer China brand products 6months warranty when reputable shop in Malaysia offers 1 year warranty.

If i am not wrong the dreampad is actually an singapore product and not a china brand :)

Correct me if I'm wrong, the company is from Singapore, but the product is at Shenzhen. Based on this
http://www.alibaba.com/product-free/119796644/DreamPad_II_Android_2_3_Telechip.html

Could be an OEM being branded as dreampad. It's cool with me, just dreampad aren't what I'm looking at :)

What i meant was this tablet is made by a singaporeans but of course the production is in china... Thats why it says shenzen? Umm can the owner of this pad come clarify?

ya novo8 no gps, that's why i never really consider although the review looks good^^

C8 & Rena3 if shipped by registered mail it's free, from previous encounters it'll take 1+week. Which means it's about S$280. A8x from pandawill will be more worth it about S$280 shipped by DHL HK.

A used set of Rena3 on market said the HDMI not working yet. Also put it's 2-points. Need at least 3 or 4-points multi-touch to play fruit ninja 2 players better. :)

Pardon me I know I a bit mafan, but for China tablet S$250-300 I expect a bit more. Reason there's more options in getting them, from Taobao, online China/HK shop, from SLS, from lowyat, ebay, etc. Only problem is shortlist the good value ones to compare >.<

Ah i get what you mean :) Like R&D done in Singapore and produced in China. Ya clarifying this will be good. If it's design and made by Singaporean, a 1yr warranty would be great :)

anyone here knows where to buy the ainol novo8? currently they have two types the old version which has the 1800mah x 2 and the new one which is 1900 x 2 mah (which gives 1-2 hours more battery life than the older version). the latest official firmware is out you could check it here http://www.chinadigitalcomm.com/ainol-mid-f105/novo8-official-firmwre-0726-for-foreigner-user-t10669.html. Here are the other tablet i am looking at renesas/rena3 (a9 dual core), teclast t760 (Rockchip), wits a91 (cortex a8) and sensev7 (telechips) all of which have capacitive screen.
