Yes.. using 1.6. But it's quite well known that 1.5.1 used to have even better battery life..

If it's the same as wopad i7, I think tweak the power detection of USB 3G dongle may help get back 1.5.1

Don't know how to do it, but someone mod that and get better battery life out of it. I recall 1.5.1 don't have 3G dongle support, but 1.6 has. So that may be the reason for lesser battery life:s8:

Was wondering, anyone interested in getting the mofi pouch and screen protector for the novo7? It's 35 rmb which is actually around $7. I am actually keen on ordering but the shipping is already $7 for the first 500g and $4 for every additional 500g which will actually end up as around $20 when it arrives after including agent fees as well. Since this item is so light we can split the freight charges.

The link is here : http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=13655096132&ad_id=&am_id=&cm_id=&pm_id=

I will need to collect advance payment first though..
Found 1 buyer to share with me.. Still looking for one more before I order.. anyone keen?

Those who looking for a slim China tablet can look at Cube U9GT2 (U9GT is 7" 4:3) 9.7" RK2918 tablet. I read the thickness goes from 4.99mm to 7mm:D Price is over S$300
What about Wopad MID M12 9.7inch? It's now selling at Merimobiles for USD 247.99. Simiarly for Wopad I8. I'm more inclined to get the more expensive M12 than the I8. Then again, the cheaper ZT-280 is also very attractive due to its low price.

Since I'm new to > 7" tablets, can anyone please offer your comments? Thank you! :)

These are just my views, but I feel RK2918 tablet tend to have better battery life than A9/A8. Wopad I8 (8") is 10mm thick, M12 (9.7") is 13mm thick.

M12/U9GT2 are 4:3 and ZT280 C91 is 16:9. RK2918 chipset may have better multi-media performance, but A9 chipset has better competability. Price wise if you buy from China, ZT280 C91 very attractive price for a 10.2". Also Zenithink is a more porpular brand than Wopad/Cube.

If you can hold out, maybe wait for Allwinner A10 >7" tablets. A10 is said to be able to support high resolution screen. A10 tablets (based on 7" prices) are generally cheaper than RK2918 and A9 tablets. Really hope there will be one 9.7-10.1" one will be under S$250 shipped:D

There's a review on slatedroid by a seller (not to be taken in 100%) and I quote;
"-BLAZINGLY FAST PROCESSOR - ANd I can speak on this account. Forget every other Cortex A8 processor you have ever used including the Samsung S5PV110/210. This thing is ridiculous... It is easily on par with my Dual Core NEC A9 if not quite a bit faster. I am downloading and installing multiple apps (like 6 at a time) and the device only slows down a little. This is the THE smoothest android experience I HAVE EVER HAD."

If you do get the ZT280 C91, please do a review:)

Thanks for your comments. The good thing about the M12 is its screen. Apparently, the IPS glass panel is really good. ZT-280 does not have this, right?

In the video review, it was not mentioned whether the device is rooted or rootable. Scrolling through the app drawer and the screens appeared slightly sluggish. Other than these two concerns, I think it is a great tab.

I guess I'll have to wait a while longer for a better tab. :)

ZT280 I don't think have IPS, but U9GT2 has I recalled.

Ya wait a while more. The China tablets seems to be going through a phase now where they try to make even cheaper tablets to compete with better known brands cheap entry tablets:D Some brands trying to get slimmer also.

Depends on luck. Of course you pay more for warranty.. taobao order is maybe 10% chance that you might get a defective set. I ordered electronic items twice from taobao and both turned out ok... :D

Saw in eBay there is a model called EPad with 2GB ROM (S$80++) and 4GB ROM ($120++).

Did anyone buy this model before?

If not, is there any model that we can get at around S$100, but with reasonable quality and warranty?

My sister is hoping to get one for her kids.

hi all

I am considering to get a 10.1' china tablet around the $300 range. I was a former Nook Color user so have play around with quality tablets before.

After using the Nook Color, my preference when it comes to tablet is the battery life and screen size ("10 in"). Currently considering ZeniThink C91. Anyone used it before?

Is it possible to get locally or I need to go through merimobiles?
