Yes I wanna hoot this tablet but worry that it is not as good as it appears. There are not a lot of reviews. There is no manufacturer website and not sure where to get firmware updates. But still, USD 231 with shipping is a very good price!

you try hunt around SLS for it? maybe can play with the demo set:D

Please update us. Thanks:D

Edit: Just found out the weight is around 730g >.<

according to official website that only has novo8 advance:)

According to website product page there's no Novo 7 Advanced/Basic=:p

To my knowledge, there are 2 versions of Novo 8. The initial batches with 3x00 (can't recall) mah battery (Novo 8) and newer batches with 4000 mah battery (Novo 8 advanced).

So it depends which stocks the seller has. Taking that Novo 8 is out sometime in May/June, it is possible that older stocks is in the market.

I am considering the U9GT 2 , Novo7 or Lenovo A1. Mainly using it for surfing, ebook and some stock app.

Novo7 seems to be cool at the low price but the screen resolution is a bit low.

A1 seems to have a better screen and higher res but its more expensive than Novo7 with a slower processor.

Anyone have experience with U9GT 2? not a lot of reviews on that.

i am also in the market for a tablet. the cube u9gt2 'was' also on my shortlist then. the 'was' because i read from some hongkong (hkepc) and china forum (bbs). a lot of buyer bought it and upon unboxing, speed is so so and most of them plug in the charger to have it charge for the first. after charging it, the tablet can never be turn on again.

so i withdrawing it from my list of wants tablet.

Was wondering, anyone interested in getting the mofi pouch and screen protector for the novo7? It's 35 rmb which is actually around $7. I am actually keen on ordering but the shipping is already $7 for the first 500g and $4 for every additional 500g which will actually end up as around $20 when it arrives after including agent fees as well. Since this item is so light we can split the freight charges.

The link is here : http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=13655096132&ad_id=&am_id=&cm_id=&pm_id=

I will need to collect advance payment first though..

Is this still open? I'll love to get the Coffee colour one. So how much advanced payment are you collecting?

Here's a way to get iphone 4 hotspot working on n7. Tried and tested (But not by me :s22:). And it only works with pdanet

1) Get a working copy of pdanet (Paid or from your usual friendly source)

2) Activate it. Select wifi hotspot and set your SSID, wep key

3) Install Busybox and ZT-180 adhoc switcher on the n7. Download links here : http://115.com/file/aqag50mo#

4) Install busybox. You will see a "Install" bar at the bottom. Tap on it, after that when "Status:Done", exit.

5) Next is ZT-180 adhoc switcher. Install, run.. the screen will go blank for 5 secs. When the "try to switch to ad-hoc mode, just to try..." appears that only can you configure SSID/WEP settings

6) Press Continue — Continue —Settings — Select SSID for Adhoc mode then key in your iPhone's PdaNet SSID and under Set Wep Key in your Wep Key

7) Lastly, select the "try to switch to ad-hoc mode, just to try..." button. You will be able to connect to your Iphone's hotspot with the N7.
