Can you see whether can the RAM for 12.5" be upgraded to 8GB? I was calculating that if I were to get the 13.3" version, it is about $200 more and I get :

1. 8GB RAM (instead of 4GB)
2. Faster processor
3. Nvidia GTX 940M graphic
4. SSD 256GB (instead of 128GB)
5. Additional USB port
6. Slightly bigger screen

Does it seems worth it to get the 13.3" instead?

im not gonna open up mine. you can check Chris's video below regarding the internals.

also the ram in 12.5" is DDR3 1866mhz compared to the 13.3" DDR4 2133mhz so it should be faster on the 13.3".

As for SSD wise, the SSD in the 13.3" is PCIe NVMe, which is 3x faster than the m.2 sata one in the 12.5" so the 13.3" is much better.

if the difference is only $200, definitely go for the 13.3". overall much better specs but i have never seen the 13.3" go below $1000 even with all the discounts. the last i saw the 13.3" in LAZADA, it was 1.21k not including coupon, after deducting $100 from the coupon, still cost around 1.1k which i find really expensive and the price difference between the 12.5" and 1.3" is around 400-500.

Ok. My bad. Based on pricing on Lazada.

Xiaomi Notebook Air 12 - $799
Xiaomi Notebook Air 13.3 - $1,218

Difference is $419.

If you know people going to China and get from there.

Xiaomi Notebook Air 12 - RMB$3,499 ~ SGD$720
Xiaomi Notebook Air 13.3 - RMB$4,999 ~ SGD$1,030

Difference is $310.

So for the price difference of SGD$310, would you go for the Xiaomi Notebook Air 13.3" instead?

If it's just $300, why not. Most of the specs are better on the 13.3", especially the 940MX. Can handle some online games as well(CSGO OVERWATCH DOTA2 LOL). Faster SSD is also a welcome change.

Gotten my Chuwi HiBook Pro.

Bought from Lazada.sg. Paid SGD$334.62 (After $30 Promo code).

The package includes:
> 1 X Tablet
> 1 X Keyboard
> 1 X Charger
> 1 X USB-C cable
> 1 X cheapo 3-pin travel adaptor

Bought on 28 Sept. They just delivered the items today 6th Oct. So, it took 8 days to deliver to me from China (Shenzhen)

Below is my review of the Hibook Pro

Some Highlights or Notable Observation:
> The tablet feel solid and sturdy. The back is metal encased and does NOT flex in when pressure is applied. The bezel that surrounds the screen is a fingerprint magnet. The tablet itself feels relatively light and holds well as well as balance when holding by its side with my right hand (I'm a right handed).

> Ram is 4GB DDR3 BUT clocked at 1067MHZ (According to Bios)

> Storage is Toshiba 64GB eMMc BUT Read and Write Speed is 136.7 MB/S and 25.93 MB/S (Use CrystalDiskMark). Also available storage space is ~26.8 GB in Windows.

> The OS is Windows 10 home Edition

> Keyboard USB is NOT able to detect my external WD Element 500 GB HDD (LED did light up, but no drive detected). But I am ABLE to use my wireless mouse. Also, I am ABLE to use my Sandisk Flair 64GB Thumbdrive. The Read and Write Speed is 39.64 MB/S and 24.88 MB/S for my aforementioned thumbdrive through the keyboard USB

> Seems to be able to charge with my Aukey 20,000mAH Power Bank (as indicated by the Windows Batter notification "Plugged-in, Charging") through the USB-C. Managed to charge from 18% to 55% in 1.5 hours.

Hi mate, did you consider the Cube iWork 10?

Am looking at the iWork 10 and was wondering if it was among your shortlisted candidates. And if it was, what made you chose the Chuwi in the end?

Interested to know too...

Based on my research so far, if you want good higher China tablets, your only options are dual boot...

That had been kind of the trend in China for a while now...

Alternatively you can look at either the dual boot or Asus Zenpad S 3.0 (580ca) or the Nvidia Shield K1

My review of Chuwi Hibook Pro

Bought it from Lazada.sg on 28 Sept. Paid SGD$334.62 (After $30 Promo code). Received the package (The boxes are nicely bubble wrapped) on 6th Oct, hence it took them 8 days to deliver it from China-Shezhen.

The package includes:
> 1 X Tablet
> 1 X Keyboard
> 1 X Charger (Rated at 5V 3A)
> 1 X USB-C Cable
> 1 X Very Cheapo 3-pin Travel Adaptor

Appearance, Looks & Feel
> The Hibook Pro and its keyboard have an overall metallic appearance and feel. It certainly does not look and feel, at least to me, like a cheapo China product.
> The tablet, as well as the keyboard, feel solid and sturdy. The back of tablet is metal encased, or at least feels like one, and does NOT flex in when pressure is applied to the middle.
> The bezel that surrounds the screen is a fingerprint magnet (Not surprising). Do note that the tablet comes with a screen protector by default.
> The thickness of the tablet feels right for me (Your mileage may vary). Overall, it does not feel thick even if it is docked with the keyboard.
> The tablet is locked onto the keyboard by two magnets clips. The magnets are powerful which meant that it gives a very firm docking, BUT also meant that it requires much force to undock it. (Tip: Push out the tablet through the bottom)
> The tablet itself feels relatively light and balance when holding by its side with my right hand. I don't really feel the immediate strain on my wrist when holding it, BUT does feel tiring when holding it for prolonged periods of time.

Spec and performance
> CPU is Intel Atom Cherry Trail Z8300 64bit Quad Core.
> Ram is 4GB DDR3 BUT clocked at 1067MHZ (According to BIOS)
> The Main Storage is Toshiba 64GB eMMc. ~44 GB of it is partition for Windows and free storage space is ~26.8 GB. Read and Write Speed is on a slow side of 136.7 MB/S and 25.93 MB/S (Using CrystalDiskMark).

> The OS is Windows 10 Home Edition while Android version is 5.1 Lollipop. It took about 20 sec to boot up to either OS.

> Android can't read my micro SD card (Sandisk Ultra SDXC 64GB)formatted in exFAT. Hence, I need to format it to FAT32 (-_-").

Did consider iWork 10.

I choose Chuwi in the end due to Large battery size and USB-C.

But from 6/6 hindsight. MAY BE (I can only compare on paper) iWork 10 would be better
> I read that the RAM on iwork10 is clocked at 1600mHz
> Also, the Storage Read and write speed on iWork10 is much faster
>Th screen resolution of 2560 x 1600 on Hibook, although looks sharp and pleasing, is a bane for touch screen as the icons becomes too small to accurately touch especially on Windows 10.
