See if it is china rom or global, some set are "student version" which is stripped down china rom but sibei cheap.
Sometimes have this kinda fine print.
Not too sure hw diff anot but model numbers same, hw spec should be same?
Curious as I never buy from TB before. If buy from TB for china exclusive model, it will be china rom right ?

Lenovo's Legion Y900 13

This seems good, prefer screen size 13in and above for productivity.

Around $560 shipped on PingDuoDuo for the base config 8/128......not sure worth or not.

if u talking about 13", it is damn worth it.

because :
- snapdragon gen 5 elite and/or its graphics processor is damn fast. There is zero lag at all and I scrolled thru 2000+ photos in album and zero lag (as in scroll super fast/flick up and down the grid of photos up and down)

- graphics is super amazing. vibrant and sharp

- confirm got SD card

- sound is shiok, macam really got a lot of speakers (the official specs claim 8 speaker iirc)

I know because I just picked up one in China. (but pardon my English lousy in describing but IYKYK wat I mean) 😉

Oh wow the PDD listing dropped to 2399rmb pre-GST but changed to unable to ship directly to SG so need to engage 3rd party shipper. All in probably around $520-530 so still looks a good deal.

I will be travelling to China soon, I'm wondering if it's worthwhile to get a budget tablet over there around $200? It's for old folks use, cellular is optional. Would stick to global brands like Honor, Xiaomi etc. Probably go to their corporate stores I guess because I wouldn't know how to navigate which 3rd party shops are AD and provide tax free for tourists.

You will need to enable Google Play Services. For many brands, it's as simple as going to settings and toggling a button. I'm using the Honor Magicpad 2 tablet purchased from China, and its Google Play Services support is unstable. It very frequently becomes unable to use YouTube and google apps and I have to reboot the tablet to be able to use it again. It's a daily occurrence and quite a nuisance if you ask me. Before that, I was using Lenovo China ROM tablets and didn't have such issues. Lenovo has some very value for money tablet models in China.

If your parents watch Netflix, do also watch out for the tablet's widevine support. Widevine L1 is required for Netflix HD. Whereas Widevine L3 limits Netflix videos to SD quality.

You can get a Xiaomi tablet with good spec in Singapore for less than $200

Bro... field report can? I looking for a 13" tablet with keyboard and touchpad + stylus...

How much did you pay? Price includes keyboard or stylus?

Can toggle Google Play Services? Stable or not?

Thanks!
