Have been looking for a MIC tablet for few days,

Deciding between YuanDao Mini One, U35GT2, U55GT, and U39GT.

Hey Taveren, I saw ur post on 39GT earlier. Cool sharing.

May I ask is it heavy over long usage? how is the responsive of the screen? THANKS!

I've got both the Mini One and U35Gt2.

Mini One (Cons)

No light sensor.
Have to wait for all the icons to appear after every start-up, otherwise will auto off.

U35GT2 (Cons)
WiFi range very short.
HDMI output too near the 2.5mm power jack.

Other than the above, both tablets are okay.
Interface-wise, U35GT2 much smoother, metal buttons, aloy back, so it feels good in your hands.

Mini One feels a little plastic and the buttons are indeed plastic, doesn't feel as awesome.

For me its not heavy at all bro, responsiveness good and the display is superb but I only use it indoors so not sure if the brightness is enough outdoors.

My only gripe so far is you cannot charge via usb, must use the 2.5mm charging port but aside from that everything seems to be working well.

Thanks kwokym! Very informative sharing.

What do u mean waiting for icon to appear during startup, -like power up from shutdown? or from standby?-

Also can i ask about the screen display quality difference and any big difference in dimension/weight ?

Thanks in advance!

I have only been doing some browsing around 3 hours including the time I just leave it on for a while.

from approx. 80% charge it was down to around 40% (was that what you mention that I said :o) and it does not heat up at all.

Another con for me is its very hard to find a case because the U39GT size of 9" is not that common....... so you might want to factor that in

Not bad, but not sure if the branding has future filmware support.

Did you purchased that? mind sharing ur experience ?

Another 8.9" (PLS screen - same screen as Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9) 1920x1200 tablet you can consider is the Pipo Max M7 Pro (RK3188, Mali 400, 1920x1200, 2GB Ram, Bluetooth & GPS, dual-band) -

PiPO M7 Pro - SlateDroid.com

Looks interesting but still waiting for more reviews. There are quite a few product introduction reviews by sellers (but not owners) over at youtube

Pipo seems to be quite active at firmware support judging from their web homepage

I have the Mini One as well... stock ROM, 4.1.1. Standby battery life isn't good... at most one day... if the battery is flat, and you're charging, you can't power on the tablet. You've got to unplug the power cable. Not sure if it's just my table. Battery drains quite fast. I usually do light browsing... but it's a second tablet and so is hardly used. When you cold boot the tablet, you have wait a while for all the icons to appear before you can use the tablet. For example, I have a calendar widget, and there isn't any thing displayed where the widget is except for the placeholder. You've got to wait a a few minutes to have the system load all the widgets and icons, then you can use the tablet and everything will work smoothly...

iFive brand has it own firmware support and has its own china 3rd party developers. Quite good, IMHO..lol .
I have a few types of MIC tablets, I find iFive tablets quite well build but quite expensive. Every MIC tablet has it own risk.

There is also a 7.9" iFive mini3 , but only 1g ram

Can I know what is the battery drain overnight?

I used to have a Hyundai Rock X 8.0 dual core, the drain is 5% per hour, which means through the 8 hour night, I would lose 40% power even tablet is sleeping, eventually the battery failed after 2 months.

My Toshiba 7.7 maybe just lost 5% overnight.

Anyone with 7.9 Mic with without battery drain problem?

Do your tablets have the battery drain problem?
At most, I feel the acceptable drain overnight should not be more than 10%.

The Pipo Ultra 8 is a 7.9" 1024x768 tablet RRP = S$309 (although Fukuno sells it for less). For ard the same price (US$232), I would prefer to get the Pipo Max M7 Pro which is 8.9" with 1920x1200 - same RK3188, Mali 400 and 2GB Ram but includes built-in GPS & bluetooth. Only prob is Fukuno not selling it yet so need to buy online
