I think no BGM is better lar... not so distracting.. what I do is I switch to miniplayer place it in one corner, while I am playing other games on the other side.
It is badly encoded... I think the original probably posted on Chinese social media sites... then someone download it and post on YT...After watching a couple of episodes this weekend, I realized it isn't the lack of BGM that was disturbing me. Some scenes the content creators got add BGM but still got the very unreal feeling. Finally realized what it was, it is the lack of background noise. People move but there's no rustling of cloth, no foot steps. Strong wind blow but there is no wind sound, no leaves rustling, lightning strike got no thunder, fire blast got no roar etc.

Yeah I think they only strip the dialogue and encode it...Don't think is badly encoded? Seems like all such videos are lacking in the same way. Just randomly sampled a few different ones, all same problem now that I've identified it. Basically the original soundtrack which may contain background sounds have been stripped out and replaced by dubbed dialog and the occasional sound effect if they remember it. Some scenes they forget to, knock door, drop item also got no sound
No sound means you can still hear them talking but the background is unnaturally silent.
