Have to wait till 1st Feb to see their new rates.

Dear all, I currently have FS account only. Can I open a FD account but not make any placements until such time it makes financial sense for me to do so? Which means it could be months or maybe even never. Any downside to this action? Thanks

Since you have FS acct already, u can instantly open and placed a FD using their App at the moment.

Don't think u can open without placing any amount.

You can try....else just place a minimum sum then

I apply online the fastsaver acc, and very fast got SMS on the same day.
This morning fast in $1k, n one hr later receive activation code. Now can log in app Liao. So FAST!!

Most probably lower as 18 months having the same rate as 12months is an indication that it is on a downtrend soon. Basically telling you to lock in another 6 months for a higher rate...

Applied 3 other FastSaver accounts under my spouse and children names.
Transferred $1K from my OWN DBS account to each as initial deposit for these accounts.
Anyone knows if CIMB will reject the deposit?
As I saw the CIMB account opening emails stating "...from your personal account from another bank..."
Or they dont care, as long as there's $1K coming in to each.

Used to have one ..but I never use for very long ...so it was cancelled 2 years ago automatically by the bank. I see, no wonder so fast ...lol.
Anyway, I see no credit card in my name once access the cimb clicks.

i applied for a fastsaver account + FD account simultaneously, and transferred a lump sum of the $1k + FD sum together.

Today I received the activation code for the fastsaver account. $1k and FD sum are in the fastsaver account, but it reflects $0 in my FD account.

Do you all know if the bank will auto move the FD sum into the FD account? Or do I need to do more things?

No, you need to create a FD account, specifying to use funds from the FastSaver account. Only then the funds will be transferred from FastSaver to the FD account

can easily transfer to your FD account yourself if you still do not see it reflected, less than 1 min task...remember that time when I opened the FD (already had fastsaver), I had to transfer myself.
