Can anyone explain how the interest is calculated? If i have 1k inside account now, how much interest will i get? Is it compounded?

Lol. Put in and see lor.

If every month bal is exactly 1K and u always take away the interest when it is credited, you should have around 82-85 sens per month lor lol. So one year is $10

IIRC, interest calculated on a daily basis. Clearly interest is computed if the day's balance is $1000 (not sure if it is lowest in the day or balance at some cutoff timing). Interest earned for the month is credited in at the end of the month.

hi guys. signed up and received the activation code within a day.

some transactions like adding new payee need the token. May i know if the token will automatically be sent to my address or must i call in to request for it? How long will it take for them to send?

From your account opening date + 5 working days should arrive to your address.

As long as you can access CIMB clicks with SMS token, means your account is open successfully and you can start transfer your funds over to enjoy daily interest of 1% PA.

I open my account last month during the Malaysia election day. Within 4 working day I received my token. Last month (23 day) interest beat my DBS Saving Plus account 1 year total interest.

Yup.
The sms confirmations will come first.
Then it will send you a special code for you to enable iBanking feature. That SMS you must keep at a safe location as it will be required when you want to reset your iBanking account.

Token about 5 working days to reach your house.

Hi,

Just want to ask is there a feature on the online portal that allow you to view the current balance and the interest end from the cimb click website?

Secondly, is there a debit or credit card that can used for ATM5

1. Just go to Account Enquiry?

2. CIMB isn't a member of ATM5 so I think no.

CIMB FatSaver don't have Debit card service.

ATM card need pay $10 to apply.

Their ATM only located at the branch.

So better FAST the amount to DBS/POSB or OCBC to access your cash. Install CIMB Clicks Mobile and pre link to your POSB/DBS or OCBC account.

The paper statements is not free of charge.

You can enable paper statements in the Cimbclicks Portal iirc.

Never receive and never bother. Log in to see the monthly interest and save a copy.

yes, it is not free.

Even for credit card statement, it is no longer free.

Free for elderly only. My father's statement every month b/f interest and c/f only. Waste of paper and postage. But elderly need to see hard copy or passbook to trust the bank.
