To be fair, each bank can choose what they want to implement and users can choose if they want to participate in it.

While you may hate it, i find it interesting at first as EGA was my first merry go round. Though after joining eSaver and CIMB promos, that feeling turned to hatred as well HAHA.

Well, apparently their FD is also dropping rapdily which seems to suggest that it is not sustainable for them anymore :(

I just calculated my CIMB base interest for Feb. It is correct.

so if we transfer out from CIMB on Sunday, we'll lose the interest from CIMB that day.

and since HSBC does not recognise transfer in's on Sundays, we will not earn any interest for that day from either bank.

i.e. one day interest gone. I rather leave it in CIMB for another day and transfer out on Monday. anyway... CIMB no more bonus interest promotion so nothing to worry about MAB... unless they restart again in April.

This isn't the thing you should be worry about since your promo already ends yesterday.

I already threw my monies into eSaver and you are still here pondering if you should leave on sunday?
There are some things that not worth thinking so throughly about and i would say this is it.

Just put that 200K into HSBC today first or what ever the limit is for both banks, then think again tomorrow

Edit -
Or just throw 1 SGD into HSBC today from CIMB and see what is the value date on HSBC side then decide what you want to do

I already maxed out my 200k transfer limit today (to HSBC) and still have some balance in CIMB... hence can only transfer the rest out tomorrow, or Monday.

on hindsight I could have transferred some amount of eSaver yesterday, but then again I might join eSaver new cycle in April (current cycle is Feb-Mar), so it's better to leave MAB in eSaver as low as possible.

Ah ok, then this make more sense.

At this point, you are already limited by the bank.... but do you have any fuss free accounts like MariBank or GXS?
Can also consider putting the remaining there which can nett you 2 days worth of interest before you transfer it out to HSBC.
Though if you do want to do that, i would reccomend saving your HSBC account as a payee ASAP

I think he meant he is restricted any further outgoing FROM CIMB, so have to wait for at least next day to move out.

On hindsight, he should have moved the amounts above 200k to eSaver yesterday, and then move that amount from eSaver to his target HSBC today

Actually CIMB if not giving the bonus interest really cannot put...

If calculate based on the tier , interest really quite pathetic...
