Based on my interpretation, CIMB website stated that the additional interest of 0.90% p.a. and 0.50% p.a. are only on first S$25,000.

To earn the additional interest on the first S$25,000 of your CIMB FastSaver Account balance, you may
  • Earn bonus interest of 0.90%* p.a. by simply topping up a minimum of S$10,000 in incremental fresh funds (compared to your month-end balance as at 31 August 2026) into your account from 1 September to 30 September 2026. Fresh funds refer to funds that do not originate from any existing account with the Bank.
  • Credit your salary or set up scheduled recurring transfers (Standing Instructions via GIRO) of minimum S$1,000 into your CIMB FastSaver Account to earn additional interest rate of 0.50%^ p.a.
  • Spend on your CIMB Visa Signature Credit Card and earn 1.00%^^ p.a. for each calendar month where minimum eligible spend of S$800 is posted for the corresponding statement month.

CIMB FastSaver was quite attractive back then mainly because it was simple to just to earn interest.

I have already moved my money out :s13:

If you are comparing accounts in 2026, SingSaver did a useful comparison of high-interest savings accounts.
