U meant earning less via the sign-up promotion or the higher interest rate?

If it's the former, it's just a one-time cash reward, not a per year difference.

If it's the latter, existing customers can sign up for FASTsaver.

Higher interest of 1% compared to 0.8% on first 50k for starsaver. U mean existing customer can still open fastsaver to earn 1% on first 50k?

How long will the interest rate stays at 1% p.a. ?

The 1% p.a. interest is permanent capped for the first S$50,000 deposit.
No bullsh*t gimmicks like the other banks. :s13:

Daily interest will be paid on the entire daily balance, provided that the balance is at least S$1,000 in your CIMB FastSaver account on any given day and capped at S$50,000. For remaining balances above S$50,000, an interest rate of 0.6% p.a. will apply.

Yup, existing customers can get FASTsaver. And for those with more than 50k cash sitting around, the excess can still go to STARsaver so it's not entirely useless with the introduction of FASTsaver.

the $100 for $25,000 for 6 mths works out to b equivalent to additional 0.8% per mth. ;)
so total would b 1.8% per mth for dep of exact $25,000. :D

in essence, that is 1.8% fixed deposit of tenure of 6 mths for 25k?

Hi guys. I opened this account last month I think around 17-18. I deposited 10k inside. On the first of this month, I received the interest of $2.63. Is this correct? Shouldn't it be $8.XX?

you never prorate the number of days for Oct (e.g 12/30). Not sure it is based on working days or number of days of that mth.

I just signed up for this account. I am not an existing CIMB customer so do I need to wait for them to mail me my CIMB clicks info and my IB device before I transfer the initial deposit? Or do I just go ahead and transfer the deposit even though I cannot access the account yet (doesn't seem as safe)?

I don't know if this has been mentioned but just want to clarify;

* Daily interest will be paid on the entire daily balance, provided that the balance is at least S$1,000 in your CIMB FastSaver account on any given day.

Which means:
If I have 100k every day but in 1 day I transfer out 100k and deposit back 100k the next day, even if I have ADB of 99+-k, 1 % is not given on the ADB?

Or only that day where I have less than 1000, say 500 bucks than only the daily rate of 0.01/365 is not applied to the 500 dollars for that day only ?

Do they even use ADB ? As they mention daily interest ..

Quite confusing and csos can't help..

Whatever the balance of the day X rate divide by 365 should be the interest for the day.

I'm pretty sure if your balance is below 1000 for that day you don't get interest for that day.

Most of the time my funds are in other accounts so my balance is 0. But I get interest on days my balance is 1000 and above.
