Interest is calculated daily and credited monthly. If balance is below $1,000 for that day, no interest will accrue for that day.

Think they uses ADB so you can't really do much.

No worries as long as you follow the application instructions and transfer the funds. CIMB will send you a acknowledgement email to activate your bank account once they receive funds.

You just have to patiently wait to receive your OTP token and misc instructions to arrive in the mailer to start using your account.

Have been using CIMB - FastSaver since they started it. The best high savings interest rate bank account with no nonsense terms and conditions.

CIMB - FastSaver account is a good way for me to park my warchest temporarily while waiting for good opportunity to deploy funds.

Too bad CIMB has cancelled the CIMB USD Interest Current Account (No longer offered wef 1 January 2017). Comes with free USD cheque books. The interest rate has been reduced from 0.5% to 0.1% p.a. for existing account holders.

CIMB - FastSaver account is really spoiling the market for the rest of the banks. Hope the good lobang of 1% p.a. lasts as long as possible.

agree, i have a FS acc with them as well. no gimmicks - really excellent.

only pain points I have is with their IB which is considered quite bad in this modern day and time. hope they invest in making it more "current".

Yes CIMB's internet banking platform is not as fancy as the other banks. Even Maybank is better hahaha.

However I do not mind the simplicity as long as it gets the job done. You have to go through the 28K modem dial up through land line days to appreciate the internet now!

Right now I really hate those fancy heavy flash and javascript platforms! Just give me text based and light graphics like CIMB internet banking will suffice.

I see the account as something to dump money into, and then leave it aside. Features don't matter as much.

This is good, not like some of the banks will charge $2 for amount below than certain amount.

i helped my mum open one, proposed her to move from ocbc passbook savings to fastsaver. will maintain minimum balance in ocbc to keep the acct active.

I've the perception that any sum under 50K is safe under SDIC. Am I wrong?
