That's why CIMB FS is "Park-and-Forget" savings account" as it will not be my main to-go account for daily usage. At most probably once every 4-5mths login once.

It's not alot.
But, you have no requirements.
no min balance needed, no below fees, no need credit card fulfillment, no need salary credit fulfillment, no need bill payment fulfillment, no need investing fulfillment. Just plain store and forget. No other savings account able to give that 1% interest without doing anything.

no fine, but no interest too.

I called them to verify and got answer for this simplified scenario:
today I have 800 dollars,
tomorrow I have 8k dollars.

The interest for today is zero, for tomorrow I will get 1% p.a of the 8k.

I have one, but only using it for transiting and paying CIMB's CC for now. Instead, I put my cash inside SCB's Esaver and do the shuffling every two months.

After placing the deposit how Long did u receive sms or email saying your account is activated? Deposit last night but nothing yet from bank
