citibank maxgain? 70K min
Hey guys, sorry this has been asked before. It is possible to open another CIMB FastSaver-I account if even I already have a FastSaver already to enjoy 1% interest?
Yes. I have both CIMB Fastsaver and Fastsaver-i personal accounts.
I opened with $1k, following month interest credited is around $8?
I thought its 1%? Did I misread something?

my maths fail..
so cimb (1.5 % p.a.)
if put 10K, 3mth can get 37.70
how is this being cal?
edit: think i know how it calculate
1.5/12=0.125% X 3 mth = 37.50
CIMB Fastsaver should be 1% pa
Should be:
$10,000 x 1% = $100 pa
$100/365 x (30+31+30)= $24.93 Interest for 3 months assuming 30, 31, 30 day months.
Thanks. Let's say if I want tot reduce the risk of putting too much money (>50k) in one bank, what is my next best option to deposit another 50k?
Try uob stash if u are just planning to park money there
anyone can simplify the process of slash? how to earn money? need pool?

Provided your financial situation permits, instead of keeping the money in Fastsaver savings a/c, why not place the money in a CIMB Why Wait Fixed Deposit a/c online and earn higher interest of up to 1.9% pa?
In addition, do take note that any amount above $50k in CIMB Fastsaver or Fastsaver-i savings account earns a lower interest of 0.6%. The 1% interest only applies to the first $50k tier.
Probably they don't want to lock up for 12 mths. I would recomend the ICBC step up FD for those who don't want 12 mth lock up and don't want to move funds every few mths. 12 mth FD with option to withdraw quarterly after earning each quarter's interest. Effective interest rate not far from their 12 mth FD which is already one of the highest now.
