Thanks. If I withdraw all the money from my fastsaver ac, the BI will still be given on 28 Feb no impact right since I already fulfilled the locked in nov-jan?

Yes. Deposited more than $5k and SI $1k in Dec 2024. Dec only has $1.01 interest. How come few cents , did you put at least $5K?
Yes, i already withdraw mine.Thanks. If I withdraw all the money from my fastsaver ac, the BI will still be given on 28 Feb no impact right since I already fulfilled the locked in nov-jan?
Yes. You can zero out your account.Thanks. If I withdraw all the money from my fastsaver ac, the BI will still be given on 28 Feb no impact right since I already fulfilled the locked in nov-jan?
I am parking to iSavvy FD 36M @ 2.85% , they are giving upfront interest.so if you reinvest your interest for 36M again, EIR is 3.09% for 3 yearsNow where to park for Feb onwards?
That's not how it worksI am parking to iSavvy FD 36M @ 2.85% , they are giving upfront interest.so if you reinvest your interest for 36M again, EIR is 3.09% for 3 years
To be honest I fail my O level math , I use my simple calculation as belowThat's not how it works![]()
3 years is a looooong commitment. And if you only put in a small sum, the interest earned is very very little.I am parking to iSavvy FD 36M @ 2.85% , they are giving upfront interest.so if you reinvest your interest for 36M again, EIR is 3.09% for 3 years
Interest are in the downward trend after reaching its peak for the pass 2 years , I am looking for no risk commitment and most bank are cutting its promo from this month , not a good sign. So locking on a fixed rate for next 3 years rather then every few months merry go round with the falling rate3 years is a looooong commitment. And if you only put in a small sum, the interest earned is very very little.
To be honest I fail my O level math , I use my simple calculation as below
Day 1 I put A amount to FD 36M 2.85%
Day 2 I get B amount of interest and use this B interest to put FD also 36M 2.85%
Day 3 1 get C amount of interest
So my A amount give me B+C total amount of interest which is equivalent to 3.09%![]()
well, it is still earning the same interest rates, whether one puts in $1k or $100k. what matters is every cent counts.3 years is a looooong commitment. And if you only put in a small sum, the interest earned is very very little.
Consider putting into SSB instead if you have not maxed out.To be honest I fail my O level math , I use my simple calculation as below
Day 1 I put A amount to FD 36M 2.85%
Day 2 I get B amount of interest and use this B interest to put FD also 36M 2.85%
Day 3 1 get C amount of interest

I remember once I checked with the CSO and she mentioned that for the $150 we need to have both Salary + SI.still no sign of the $150 SI promo(supposed to be on 31 Jan). anybody got it yet? wondering if did something wrong (become not eligible) but I did receive the SI bonus 0.5% for December so should qualify...
They likely forgot and would credit if in Feb instead is my guess.I remember once I checked with the CSO and she mentioned that for the $150 we need to have both Salary + SI.
But upon checking with the TnC and also confirm with the experts here, the $150 is "either or" for the Salary and SI. So I just treated the CSO information as untrue.
But now I got a feeling that maybe it needs both Salary + SI, just that they have written wrongly on their TnC.
Haha, if that is the case, they should still honour it since it is their mistake.
Has anyone done both Salary and SI? If yes, did you get the $150 on 31-Jan?
Haha, that is also likely possible. They likely forgot and would credit if in Feb instead is my guess.
Screw up happens. If that is the case, then it is very unprofessional for CIMB.
It is hard to imagine an establish bank in the banking business for many years and can "forget" what they promised and drafted black & white in the official TnC document
The officer replied my email saying no such $150 promotion. I couldn't find the org ad/T&C for this, so can only accept what she said... It seems the $150 reward gone...
or as what one of the brother here saidScrew up happens.
SCB had claw backs, HSBC had missing promises which was then manually credited after a "big" hoo ha.
Well, those are the 2 events that i roughly remember.
Oh wait... CIMB also waited till 7-8PM on 1st Aug last year to update their webpage and "offically" release their CASA TnC
Correspondence with the bank should also be saved and archive. Phone calls while being "recorded" is merely a magic trick used by banks to protect themself when needed.
The only thing that stands between you and the bank screw up is by having your own downloaded copy of the TnC
or as what one of the brother here said
they can just use clause 16a
