hmm my Dec-Feb bonus didn't quite add up, differ by a few dollars ($8+)

... not that I'm complaining that I got more than I expected. but couldn't find anything wrong with my formula.

you guys amount tallied?
update: I found my mistake... forgot to include the BI for the balance I had put inside in Feb... (took most of it out to park @ EGA).

now it tallies... to the exact cents (y)

thanks CIMB, wish you continued with the bonus interest promo... alas.

the promotional rate (3%/3.3%) is only until 31 May?

but in the tnc, it says you have to stay for 6 months, else it may be clawed back.

"... Increase a minimum of S$250,000 in AUM (as defined below) with the Bank during the Promotion Period within one (1) month of account opening date when compared against the end-day balance on the last day of the previous month (i.e. 31 January 2025 if Customer increased AUM in February 2025) and maintain the said AUM for a minimum period of six (6) months (“Minimum Period”), starting from the date that the Customer has increased at least S$250,000 of AUM."

That's TNC for the welcome gift of $800 for new to preferred customers to CIMB,

You should read this for the bonus int T&C. Different.

Does anyone know what I did wrong? I didn't get any bonus interest.

added $5000 on 31 Jan 2025 (before the month ended) to qualify for the bonus interest

Then on 1 Feb 2025 I added 1 million and at the end of Feb I got around $600 interest

on 31 March 2025 I again got $600 interest

and still no bonus interest at all up till now, 1 April.

I realise the fx rate to transfer SGD to my MY account is quite bad. The fx rate is currently 3.27, but on Trust the rate is 3.30

Just curious, If i put 75k from 1 April to 5 April. And withdraw 75k out on 6 April. Will I still receive the 2.7% interest for that 5 days?

The new Effective Interest Rate (EIR) from 01 Apr 2025 for S$75,000 is 1.99% p.a.

You are looking at S$20.48 for 5 days interest.

Claim against cimb, if you can if they still have the rate gurantee clause on their site for SGMY rates

Found something better? We'll refund the difference!

Send a screenshot/picture of the rates from other banks/licensed service providers to AtYourService@cimb.com & we’ll credit you the difference*.

The screenshot/picture must be taken within 1 hour from your time of the transaction on CIMB Clicks, and be sent to us within 3 days.

I didn't know there was such a clause. I've been using cimb to change $ for the past 1 yr+ and all the while their rates have been good but recently i've started to see a big difference in their rates
