I just booked the Shangrila hanging garden resort near misty villa. Rooms look nice. Anyone have experience?

Just to confirm, will all the Minsu offer free transport to and fro cing jing farm?

I am travelling with a 2 year old and I want logistic to be as hassle free possible

I chanced upon this official CJ site offering accommodation at NT3K per night

But it seems like no one is discussing this option here thus far?

Nope, most minsu dont offer transport to and fro cj farm. Unless you stay very far away from the 'main town area' eg starry minsu.

If you intend to stay at 國民賓館 please book early. their rms are sold out very fast.

I stayed next to Shangrila hanging garden, the outdoor area look quite happening when i walk pass at night. But the entrance is not near the main road and the road that leads to the entrance is close to complete darkness once the sun set.

Is Shangrila Hanging garden a cheaper option to Star Villa?
Does it offer good views or maybe better location to amenities?

Wonder why the official CJ resort will get booked out soon especially when it's basic room is going at nt3k but the room views look ordinary. Because it is in the heart of CJ plus near amenities?

Star villa has great views but food (breakfast) wise is kinda limited (but nice).

try emailing them. their website did not mention free dinner but when i booked, they replied steamboat dinner is provided.

how was the weather/ temperature like in december? planning go late dec.

around 10c in dec. 1 night is enough.

wld u all rec stay 2 nights at Cingjing then 1 night at sun moon lake, or 1 night at Cingjing, 2 nights at sun moon lake? not sure which one gt more things to do....

Starry villa has some comments on tripadvisor regarding bugs issue inside their room and bad service.
Is it true for bugs? Cos my wife will freak out.

They have 2 buildings.

Building 1 is old building facing the scenery and can see the sun rise. Price is cheaper.

Building 2 is new building, modern and got chance to see the sunset.

U can choose when booking.

As I am travelling with a kid, I am not sure how near this villa is to the green green grassland and Swiss garden and carton king restaurant. And also if they provide free transport to and fro these places.

around 10c in dec. 1 night is enough.

Umm.. My colleague told me 2N would be better as I have 8adults, 1kid, 1toddler.. Maybe if 2pax 1N would be enough.. I am going on the 1st week of Jan I suppose the temp would drop to less than 10c??

Any one has reviews of Cingjing Vienna Pleasance Cottage?

I think i like it over Lin Shing as it is 5-10 mins walk to Misty Plaza and near to Swiss Garden/ Carton King.

The only bane is that some of the rooms do not have air-con, so very scared it will be stuffy plus flying bugs ard.

Sorry for bugging this thread as i am still sourcing for my 2 nights stay there.

I'll touch down tao yuan at 1155 and will straight take a hsr to TC and to CJ.
Do I have to buy the bus ticket from TC to cj in advance? Or the buses are always available?
