I choose voice and sms roaming
thanks
Does this voice/SMS roaming selection work for you?
The last time i tried this in JB, it doesn't work - no signal at all, until i activated Data Roaming in Circles app.

My iphone roaming data was beforehand toggled OFF to prevent accidental data roaming, but i was still charged $10. :spin:

Don't do it no matter how tempted you are.
Once you flip the data roaming switch, it's instantly $10.
Circles CSO told me Voice/SMS will do but no it just doesn't work.

i wanted to flip the CSO my middle finger instead, but resisted. 😆

Once you turned on Data roaming, be prepared to get charged.
Hard to dispute for refund too FYI.

i remember for Circles, you have to toggle roaming (data/voice) on in the app. I tried roaming previously, it can't connect to any network.

So in order to receive sms from circle
solution is to pay $10 per month?
or $8 for the goRoam Apac plus?
Or port to another operator that includes it free. CL plans are probably more suitable for SG use, unless u have a plan that includes roaming and stick to the limited countries in that list.

my circles sim is in a 4G router and it has remote access functionality to view the SMS.

that way you can leave the circles sim in sg next trip to avoid the roaming charge.

Indeed this is a very good use case if you have good connection with M1 4G network at your location.

Same use case mentioned by A7997A.

I am using the $3.30 as backup internet for the firewall.
If fibre broadband fails it fails over automatically, so I don't need a lot of GB.

A pre-requisite is that M1 need to be performing at least decently at the main location that you need to use it for this purpose, otherwise pick a different plan from a different MVNO.

CL is objecting Simba-M1 merger stating it will hurt consumers. Good to know a player is on our side but I too wonder what is CL's real agenda and motive, being a client of M1 of which turn sour recently. Guess it foresees the deal with the new merger will be worse off as it will have lesser bargaining power since the new merger will be very laid back and not as aggressive anymore. See whether CL objection will have any influence on the approval...
