For customer who has ONE Mobile Access for Seniors Plan with SIMBA, the maximum Seniors Go Digital Plan that customer can sign up is 3. If forced to upgrade from $0 plan to $9 plan, might as well look at porting out to another provider. What are all other good options at $10 and below? Thanks.
Zero1 Starter ($7.06) is a good option.

Or Simba's $5 Seniors plan, if u qualify.

some of us are on the 1gb free plan. Hahah. Useless, but it’s totally free with a number to register free referral bonus etc. ;)

Earlier there were rumor posts that claimed Circles line cannot be ported to M1 Maxx.

I would like to state that this is not true. My Circles line has been successfully been ported to M1 Maxx.

I just rechecked, apparently my base plan is $29, not even the $5 as per stated in the SMS!

Took me a while to find what's my base plan
I went through to see all the communications between circles and us.

They only sent a sms a month ago. The sms was flagged as spam itself

UPDATE: CL support mentioned that my plan from $0 will become a $5 plan monthly, with $24 discount every month, and base plan of $29

tried looking but difficult to locate the price they are going to charge me for the "upgraded" plan!
I was on $0 plan. how much do I have to pay now?
Under the Home page of the app, you can find the Customize button for your plan.

Click in and you can see on base plan $29

I just got the $12 maxx plan from ahbeng shop... going to port over soon.

reply from circles.life:

I haven't contacted IMDA yet, because the customer support officer said "issue with the delivery system". Did anyone else with $5 plan receive the announcement email & SMS? I want to know if I missed out both the announcement email & SMS, or circles.life is making some underhanded move.

The latest bill showed 01 May 2024 - 31 May 2024 $5.05 and no hint of upgraded plan or permanent credits or bill waivers. I'll wait for the next bill and see if the reply above is true.
If it's truly $9/month with $40 bill credits, I will hold on to circles.life for the time being. If not, I'll switch to Zero1 Starter $7.06/mth.

UPDATE:
customer service officer said there were "in app pop ups with the following during the period where it was initially announced: (started initially in Feb 15, 2024 - In-app pop-ups and SMS)"
I am a bit confused, so are you on the $9 permanently with $20 permanent discount?

If so why they say grant you 2x $20 discount?

Huh! The $5 20gb was a recent upgrade right? Like I think in Mar 2024. So soon they upgrade you again?
No, I joined Circles.life with $5 plan from Feb 2022. Before that I was on prepaid.

UPDATE: CL support mentioned that my plan from $0 will become a $5 plan monthly, with $24 discount every month, and base plan of $29
good for you man.

so are you on the $9 permanently with $20 permanent discount?
I've learned from painful experiences that there's nothing permanent. The telcos reserve the rights to adjust their plans anytime, especially for the case of "no contract". Same for big companies like Google, WhatsApp, Facebook, Microsoft, Netflix, Zoom, Spotify, etc., once you're hooked and all your data is on their servers, there's not much you can do if they increase the subscription fees.

If so why they say grant you 2x $20 discount?
Probably a business strategy to use short term benefits to retain customers after they (almost) double the monthly bill.

Circles.life exit taiwan. Last year they had retrenchments. Wonder if circles.life having issues now?

Even their CIS plans not really enticing. 288GB 4G, 1GB data roaming at $15 .
5G cost $22 for 300+GB.

Now other starhub mvno and Simba has responded to competition, they are nor doing anything yet.

And they haven been ongoing rumors of shaky managements all the while.

Just now I was billed without my consent. Am on plan $0 and now they changed my plan to $29 less migration voucher. They should have at least required confirmation first, then I can decide to pay or move out. And for how long is the migration voucher valid? Am ok to pay, but their approach is not great.

I decided to cancel my line and had sent an email to them. My credit card information was long expired., so no deduction. Anyone can use the template from ChatGPT. :)

Dear [Customer Service Team],

I am writing to follow up on a request I made regarding the termination of my service line. I called on [Insert Date] and spoke with CSO [Insert Name], who confirmed that my request to terminate the line by the end of May would be processed accordingly.

However, I received a billing reminder on June 2, 2024, which indicates that my request may not have been processed. I am concerned about this and want to ensure that the termination request has been properly handled.

Could you please confirm that my service line has been terminated as requested and that the recent billing reminder will be resolved? Additionally, I would like assurance that this issue will not affect my credit rating.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Best regards,

My June bill arrived.
I was charged $29.00 + $9.35 (pro-rated 22May-31May) - $20.00 (migration waiver) - $6.45 (migration waiver pro-rated 22May-31May) = $10.27 instead of my usual $5.05.

I contacted CSO & got "$10 waivers for the next 3 months" instead of the promised $20x2, not sure if this is true, need to see next 3 bills to confirm. If that's true, my bill will be $9/month with $30 bill credits.
That means effectively I can enjoy $5.05/mth for 6 months then the waivers will run out and I'll start paying $9/mth from the 7th month.

I'll consider changing telco when I start paying $9/mth. Hopefully there are still many cheap plans then. Maybe need to switch back to prepaid again.

Sorry if I sound stingy, but in reality I barely use 1GB data/month and I'm just a low-income foreigner.
