Yesterday i brought the CIrcle Jetpack $12 for 5GB, while travelling to JB to try it out, the network they latches to is Celcom & Maxis but the coverage is LTE instead of 4G or 5G, so i upon checking with the live chat customer service they keep insist that LTE is same as 4G zzz.

I just realised, the jetpack eSIM not able to use surf tiktok. Not sure which network to they into. While i have not issue with Singtel data roaming.

4G & LTE is technically the same, so what's the fuss about it.

yes, Jetpack eSIM not able to view TikTok due to it being blocked as its orignating from China/HK IIRC.

Was in Jakarta and Bali last month. Signal was good for Jakarta. In Bali it was mostly fine, dropped for a short while in a few places. 5G at CGK and DPS airports. Overall would recommend it for Indonesia instead of getting gouged.

I did face difficulty initially getting it to start at CGK airport. Just restarted airplane mode and also turned eSIM data roaming on and off again for it to work. I don't think it's suitable for the elderly, my dad would definitely not have gotten it to work lol.

I'm in Bali now and I keep getting Edge. When I go get 4G or 5G, the speeds is bad.

I tried back in June. It's not bad, I went to the ulu nature parks, some places my friend's M1 Data Passport cannot receive. Jetpac still have some signal, maybe 3G but good enough for Google Maps to not lose its way. The number of network operators that the SG telco has partnership with really plays a part.

No. ESIM is good for me because I'm on iPhone and having my SG sim card active was needed for my work. Better than carrying 2 phones.
I also visited France on the same trip and HK in the same month. I maximised what I paid for, after that I cancelled as they changed the plans.

For local SIM, if you go to ulu place, you will have the same problem of if that telco has no coverage there, you have no alternative. If you are using roaming, your phone will automatically search for another network.

Hi can I check it is activated on the date of purchase or you can activate it once overseas?

bought jetpac for vietnam trip. went to ho chi minh and phu quoc. can't remember which telco it was latched on but all I got for the entire trip is 3G.
Yes I checked my phone settings etc. Emailed to Circles life and hope they reply with some resolution.

I used it for JB, BKK and it was ok. Buying the native sim and getting the network direct from the native telco still yields a better signal and connectivity.

jetpac is for convenience and if you are not fussy about having the best connectivity.
