They playing around the get the right amount of coe they wanted

I know there was a time when at taxi quota all in cat A regardless of cc right ? But the quota available for bidding should be more right ? Then they remove the taxi from bidding, so I suppose they move the taxi quota out ? So if now they want change the system back to taxi need to bid for Coe, they should move the taxi quota back to cat A right ? Is that how it works ?

I also very blur.. is it CatA? or CatA PQP? or CatE?

whatever, if cab companies can bid for COE like any car buyers, then what are the chances the COE price will go down in all categories? :s12::s12:

if there is any surge in CatA, will it not have impact to CatE, and in return, will it not have impact back to CatB? :(

Taxi used to bid for Cat A COE like normal new Cat A cars, later change to just pay PQP for Cat A like normal Cat A car renewing COE except that they also do that for new registration.

Car below 100k is consider cheap. sure got alot people buy one la lol

If they cannot afford, they just rent from PHV. PHV will then bid coe for more cars and price go up and the cycle continue until the daily rental exceed $200.

But what is the quota for taxi ? Or for every new taxi Coe purchased, they need to scrap existing taxi? Cannot be they can buy unlimited right ?

Likewise when taxi quota is under cat A and require bidding that time, how many are reserved for taxi ?

I think the Taxi Companies have to maintain a minimum fleet size, they currently do not need to bid for COE, just need to pay Cat A PQP, I think no limit for number of Taxis, but with PHV around, don't think they can expand much.

Can be unlimited meh. If suddenly increase 200k taxi driver then road super jam how?

LTA has a formula to calculate the number of taxi dereg and recycle in new coe

Similar to old scheme, all taxi goes to CAT E but they pay only PQP of CAT A

That is prevent spike of price and take the average

The system is not new but it makes the system sounded "fair" yet deep in mind, we know the coe is going north. Unless LTA is to allow quote to increase from 0% growth to 3%.
