Good for you.

Those car that cost 75k now with 25k coe. When use 4yrs later, will be left with paper less than 25k.

Due to high coe, that's why your paper value still worth 44k even you use your car for 4yrs already.

But provided loan must complete if not talk what also no use cos need to pay back remaining debt to bank. Lol..

If you can time it correctly,i think you can buy another BB car with very min cash upfront or even take a small loan.

Let hope coe keeps dropping.lol...

My remaining loan to bank only 12k ma...

i think you can also join in the fun.. change car party!

I bought servicing package from Mazda. Still have 3 more servicing to go which can last me until mid 2019. Pityful to give up now as it cost me 1.6k.. I can wait until end 2019 and hopefully Coe is 10k by then hehehe

But so many Mazda 3 grab drivers driving for 3-4 years.. should have more than 300k mileage. Got issue meh...

u can still drive the car with high carbon build up. the issues for DI engines are well documented. not sure who are those who hit 300k. if no problem, then good for them. but it's also possible to have problems without being aware.

our highway also not long and far enough and the revs are kept low so 80% highway drive isn't really enough. but still better than stuck in jams.

Is your colleagues loan clear?
If not,I think not worth. Cause dealer will take in paper+body only. And if he still own bank, after full settlement, not much cash left for down-payment.
Some of my colleagues their 5yrs loan clear in 2019.So even dealer offer just paper, their car is fully paid.So they no need to come out any cold hard cash since their car worth 42k just good for their down payment and carry on a new loan again.
They are laughing. Say the low coe comes at the right time. Lol...
We are waiting and they are prepared to enjoy second new car. Lol...
He got no problem clearing.Factor in rule 78, he still can take back 20k or so. Then I jio him I30....Anyway if COE drop below 10k I sure full cash one out.

Got one ex colleague brought Vios for 41k in 2009 and sold off 46k 6 years later.....

so what did you buy then? :p

Brought a SSS and renewed 5 years. But i have no problem full cashing any car in my MSCP, but what is the point? Or rather I buy car based on my FD interests and shares yearly dividend for my car yearly depre. After my 2nd motorcycles, all my vehicles paid in cash...(Owned 20 motorcycles and 4 cars before). Now holding to one motorcycle and one car...Too poor to let bank earn interests...
Dont want to be poorer than poor....

This is what i can afford now...
This is my 2nd SSS. That time jobless so did not renew...
Anyway I got 5 years to wait for >10k COE.

Need to 4000rpm to clear carbon. Yearly trip to MY.

I wonder how many hours of your life you spent hitching... :s22:

Hmm actually nowadays with hitch, I cover alot of cost to the extent that I think is cheaper than public transport. My total car expenses is around 1800 and hitch cover me around 1300.. so I spend around 500 and it covers me and my wife transport and sometimes my family during weekends. For 500, I find it worth for all the convience.

1300 gosh ure some epic hitch driver

Even with 15$ stack 2, for twice a day, it's 60$

Provided u do it only during working days, that's 300$ per week. Per month is 1200$

Only works if u have regular hitch to work every single day

Monday to friday so busy already still can hitch $1300 a month. Really some feat. My max was $200+ a month when the idea was still novel and fun to hitch people around. Over time, people treat you like a taxi driver and that to me was the time to quit (especially after Grab imposed the 10% commission). Anyway to each his own.

These people will think it's all worth it lol

Wait till kena pwn by hitch riders

Buying a car for me is because of convenient. If I need to hitch, then defeat the purpose.

To get $1300, one will spend a great deal of time driving so to me, it’s not a gd deal. Might as well not have car if have drive ard like grab driver.

1300 for hitch takes up some of your time too i guess, some stacking required. very nice amt to offset monthly car payment ;)

Most ppl wana earn extra to offset their overheads. Why not if have the time and the vehicle to do that. :D

End of the day is individual choice.....

1 hour plus in the morning and 1 hour plus in the evening. Both journey is to and fro work but I won't even get up early or leave office late just because of hitch.

Good for you then. You found great hitchers.

Just make sure you keep to LTA’s rule of only taking two hitch rides a day. I heard they are clamping down.

1300 is less 50 dollars a day.. which is like 2 rides in the morning and 2 rides in the evening. How is that like a grab driver who drive like 8hours.
