It does not benefit them when car prices lowered.. The commission on loan. Simple as that, they would bid as high as the market would pay..

tiagong they are artificially trying to maintain teh coe levels ? before phase 2 majority of teh dealers expected to drop below 20k but due to backlog it did notch...and now they still purposely “cut” juz to try and maintain....those go topup to getch coe already played into teh dealers hands

Ya, LTA trying to maintain current price so they spread out the 3 months of COE Quota to 12 months.

It will come down slowly....see how long they can cum out wif new pattern to reduce quota or introduce sum new policy to make to maintain....maybe to help banks they will allow 90% loan then a lot of bbfa will go loan 90% to buy car pushing up teh COE :D

$1 drive away with 10 years loan. 2009 they chut this pattern, upfront buying a motorcycle still need 10%, cars were easier to buy..

That's right so you just see the price those car dealers are selling at will roughly know COE trend. It will likely continue to go down slightly. Demand is not picking up.

I don't think there's any price adjustment as compared to the price after 1st July bidding..
All the price seems to maintain.
Some, in fact decrease their prices.

What I observe which is slightly worrying is Kia initially reduced their price, then revert back to the price post 1st bidding.

They are all trying to maintain their selling prices and margin in a bid to maintain COE prices....

I'm talking about listed price.

https://www.sgcarmart.com/new_cars/newcars_pricing.php?CarCode=12334

You can click "view price history".

For KIA Cerato L variant:

$80,999 with COE 28-Jul-2020 $32,699 (CAT A)
$79,999 with COE 24-Jul-2020 $32,699 (CAT A)
$80,999 with COE 10-Jul-2020 $33,520 (CAT A)
$80,999 with COE 03-Apr-2020 $31,210 (CAT A)
$83,999 with COE 10-Mar-2020 $32,699 (CAT A)

Of course, final sales price could be different.

Also, weren't you the one that says price adjusted (upwards?) already?
