Anyone has any recommendation for computer tables?
Thinking of getting a 1600x800mm table, so that I can place 3 x 24 inch monitors.
Have to put the CPU tower somewhere under it.

Someone actually started talking about this? Very underrated topic.

Would recommend a table that has a barrier inbetween your leg and PC, so that you dont accidentally kick it.

If u are good at diy, get a IKEA countertop and four table legs. The IKEA numerar is solid wood and cheap too.

Don't mind me joining in this discussion ...

I'm looking for a table that has a compartment for the computer. But most of those that come with it won't fit Corsair / Lian-Li ATX mid-towers ... they seem to be designed more for branded (HP, Acer, etc) micro-ATX mini-towers.

I cannot put the computer on the floor or on coasters. There must be a compartment. Anyone can recommend a table with a big enough computer compartment?

maybe you can try those carpenters at neighbourhood stores where they can custom made based on what you want.

IKEA table good for computer?

The short answer is NO. Most of ikea's table tops are made from poor grade compressed wood. Factors like weight and moisture absorption will cause the table tops to spoil even faster. Its not unusual for ikea desks to spoil within a couple of years. Even the galant series is made from compressed wood but the difference is the galant frame is a really solid piece of work. If you are looking at alternatives to ikea, can try searching on qoo10 for those supposed made in korea computer desks(but more than likely is from china). Recently, i bought this desk http://list.qoo10.sg/item/2015-NEW-DESIGN-TABLE-OFFICE-TABLE/421376670 which is made from plywood, a higher grade of compressed wood. Otherwise if you are looking for solid wood table/desk, then expect to pay a premium for it.

Buy the Ikea galant frame then source for the wooden top yourself.
