HDB MOP this year.. value 500k with 180k left in loan. For some complex family reasons I need a dual key as my next unit. Income wise, I am 31 with annual income of 150k.. wife earns about 40k.. got two kids to support, no car

shall I go for a JUMBO 1m to 1.2m, but at least 30 years old now?

or shall I go for a dual key EC? 1.7m…

edit EC not private condo
If u need to ask

U cant afford

Thanks.. conversion is hard I think… but ya leaning to jumbo so less financial stress… just need to die inside and don’t think about reselling
I feel still have market so as long HDB don't start building large units again. Even 3gen is small. Some old 5 room as large as the 3gen they are building now.

Definitely a condo. There's an opportunity for capital appreciation as well.

Buying into a jumbo hdb is buying into a depreciating asset. Lease decay is very real.
