Car driver has to slow down at zebra crossing n cyclist also too.

The cyclist is in the wrong. Still can get angry. CYCLIST, do u understand the LAW requires u to dismount and push your bike across the crossing!

Within 3 seconds he zoomed from start of pedestrian crossing to zebra crossing. The car can brake in time is very good already.

No more this law, they removed it.
But cyclist still stupid and brick hard head enough to die die cycle across when he knows car not stopping.

by law, cyclist has to stop and look for oncoming traffic before using the crossing.

For the Katong case, the lawyer cyclist got fined for obstructing the traffic right?

I went to google then saw the driver pleaded guilty and will be sentenced on 16 April while the cyclist will be appearing in court on 17 April and is expected to plead guilty to the charges she face.

According to the article, cyclist faces 1 charge of intentional harassment and 1 charge of obstructing public way.

Last month, Elaine Michele Ow, 50, pleaded guilty to one charge of a rash act endangering the safety of Nicolette Tan Shi-en, the 32-year-old cyclist.

Ow was due to have been sentenced on Friday, but the judge adjourned this until April 16 after the defence disputed the accuracy of the prosecution's record of her prior traffic offences.

Tan is due to face court over the same incident next month. TODAY understands that Tan faces one charge of intentional harassment and one charge of obstructing a public way.

Ow will return to court for sentencing on April 16, while Tan is expected to plead guilty on April 17 over the same incident.

Everything cannot be expected drivers eyes on roads then how to see from the side etc
They can come from any directions then u see A they chiong from B

Cause if Driver is wrong, he send his car for repair.
Even if Cyclist is right, he send himself for repair.

cannot la. for analogy if someone dash across red man crossing, impossible to blame the driver for failing to look out for him.

if this cyclist had dismount and push, then different story, now he treat the road like a prick, he should be treated like a prick.

I think there is no sound, maybe he pressed his horn for a long time we also don't know, that's why the person is triggered. Cause I meet too many drivers that doesn't slow down at zebra crossing when I am walking, And we can tell he didn't slow down enough because his car has passed the stop line for the zebra crossing. That is not considered correct behavior. If u drive like that during driving test = fail

You were never supposed to just look straight ahead what? Always is left and right while slowing down and most of the time is can catch one. further more, he's coming from the driver's right and usually sinkie drivers ALREADY is looking at the right hand traffic intending to zoom past asap anyway.

Keep in mind the video is from car cam, higher than driver eyes usually, more forward and central, i.e better viewing angle to the sides.

The cyclist likely would had been blocked from view by cars waiting in the right two lanes. So driver first check of the right, not have seen him.
