they are kinda of really big fuq.

u knock them, u get into trouble with the law.
they knock you, u get into insurance problem.

of course, they dont care. either way, they are not being penalised.

If it is a small knock is ok. They never realised that it could be big enough to either maimed or dead.

We hope all road users can similarly follow Mr Kor’s lead to slow down when approaching a zebra crossing and be alert at all times.
While cyclists and Personal Mobility Device (PMD) users are not required to dismount at zebra crossings, they too must slow down, stop and look out for oncoming traffic before crossing. ...

That one is guidelines.

They Must stop is the law under ROAD TRAFFIC ACT
(CHAPTER 276, SECTIONS 121 AND 140)

Paragraph 14, Every cyclist, mobility vehicle user and PMD rider

1(b)
when at the pedestrian crossing or zebra crossing, must stop and look for on-coming traffic before using that crossing.

It also indicates

Vehicle approaching crossing to slow down
5. The driver of every vehicle approaching a pedestrian crossing must proceed only at such speed as will enable him to stop his vehicle before reaching the crossing.

Also see basic theory, pg 35 -Slow down and stop if there are pedestrians or cyclists crossing or about to cross.

Law/rules are made for man not man for laws/rules…So law/rules need to be reviewed by relevant authority regularly. :ROFLMAO:

Assume both cyclist and driver are slowly approaching the zebra and then come to a stop… then who should go first? Cyclist or Driver?…. :ROFLMAO:

It's amazing that so few people know about basic theory despite having pass the test. Maybe should check if the test is effective or have refresher test for everyone every 5-10 years? ;)

What a nice weather today, I went for a ride this morning. When I use the zebra crossing, I still gesture and say thank you to the drivers who slowed down and stop for me. So it's experimented by me based on my cycling experience in SG, the driver in this video purposely endanger that cyclist.
