These people are a nuisance. Others cycle to work or run errands, while these vermins cycle in a big group on the road blocking vehicles.

Mr Lawrence Choo, 45, founding member of cycling enthusiast groups 10101010 and Faber X, suggested that the guideline for motorists to adhere to a minimum distance of 1.5m when passing cyclists on roads be passed into law, so that it can be enforced like the group cycling rules.

Road users pay road taxes for the roads they are using. What did the cyclists pay for? Just their bicycles? Let's be real, I don't want to be footing their bill through higher general taxes so that they can cycle freely.

And yes, accountability. Now the cyclists have no insurance coverage. If they bang into other cars, how to claim? Civil lawsuit? Like that just scrap car insurance totally, we all just do civil lawsuit instead of insurance claims so that all have equal rights? While we're at that, scrap the road tax too. Equal rights right?

Road tax is not for road usage.

Talk bird words ??? They got the right to be on the road, yes but are for those who keep left on the lane near the pavement, for ppl who cycle to work, for law following riders and not for cyclists who ride in the centre of each lanes or a hoard who occupied multiple lanes..

And how to expect drivers keep 1.5m from cyclists, like that traffic jam everywhere.... will cripple the whole transport system and more accidents will heppen for sure.

And probably he grew up from eating bird feeds
Wonder if any driver will check with LTA on what that dude has said..

He added that drivers should learn that cyclists also have a right to be on the roads.

Mr Kiki Matthias Cheng, founder of cycling enthusiast group Riding Kakis (Singapore), said it may be more effective to influence cyclists to become role models who “walk the ground” and advocate safer cycling practices within their cycling groups.

The 52-year-old operations director added that this could help “activate” the cycling community in spreading good cycling practices, compared with a top-down approach through law enforcement.

Mr Khaw and Mr Ng both suggested building more dedicated cycling infrastructure, such as cycling lanes that allow road users to give cyclists the right of way.

i am still ok with cyclist sharing, since they are human leg powered.

however, for the longest time, authority still ignoring the pmd illegally speeding on the pavement.

for pma, plenty of fake disabled using them and speeding
Think bicycle not that intimidating on pavement. Cause require physical effort, and most ordinary cyclist out there don't have that kind of physical to keep up the effort. Therefore many just ride leisurely.

But ebike is no need much effort. Thus many tend chiong much faster and maintain that pace effortlessly. There is a reason why they are not allowed on pavement. They can be quite intimidating at that kind of speed, and given their weight, it tend hurts more when collide with them.

PMA think alot too big for comfort. Need so big for what. Some quite powerful, go on the road some more, and is can go at the average speed of bicycle effortlessly. Quite a danger on the road. :s22:
