This about sums up why so many dislike cyclists when it comes to roads.

Zero situational awareness, 100% arrogance. The blardy cyclist didn't even bother to look sideways when crossing and assumed/expected everyone to be able to see him and stop for him even though it was greenlight and vehicles had the absolute right of way.

:(

Those of you who have family or friends who do road cycling, how are their attitudes generally like ? it takes a certain level of self centeredness to cycle on singapore roads i’m deducing.

Why can't cyclists just follow the traffic rules?

为什么骑士都不能遵守规矩?

If everyone follows the rules strictly, accident wouldn't happen

There should be a rule that says that if any cyclists cross the road without first actually stopping before they start to cross, then they take 100% responsibility. coz all these is coz they don't bother to stop before crossing.
Simply stop and they would instantly be fully aware of their surroundings and road users would have time to respond if the cyclist has right of way. which in this case he doesn't... and because he was cycling fast and furious, he thought he would manage to cross before the cars start to move. by the time he was about to cross, it was too late to change his mind coz of the wet road.

This is the common example why cyclists’ mindset can change dramatically and becoming idiots

Wonder what goes through in his mind.

He clearly knows that the traffic condition is not in his favour. And yet he is ok to proceed.
