cyclist will just complain to his friends at pap then the bus driver will be fired
Yes the cyclist should take the matter through proper channels. However stopping a bus and inconveniencing all other road users is an act of nuisance and must not be condoned.

We should seriously consider increasing the penalty for public nuisance. Too many of such incidents recently... you have that bloody joker causing a jam when he stopped near the pedestrian crossing recently and now this.

An enraged cyclist's behaviour in Punggol on Nov 25 has sparked online criticism over his dangerous actions.

In a video posted to Facebook group Complaint Singapore on Nov 26, a man wearing a white singlet was seen confronting and gesturing at the driver of bus 85, which appeared to be stationary in the middle of the road.

Based on the short eight-second clip, the man's bicycle was parked directly in front of the double-decker bus, obstructing the vehicle. The incident is believed to have occurred in Punggol East, near the Punggol East junction, Shin Min Daily News reported.

Towards the end of the video, a passenger sitting on the upper deck of the bus could be seen leaving her seat and moving forward in an attempt to find out why the bus had stopped.

Netizens have criticised the cyclist's behaviour.

must understand why people become entitled cyclist. coe damm ex,...jin cham one. bicycle relatively cheap .
2nd there is a rule that says pass cyclist must be min 1.5m. the folks that come up with this rule prolly do it in office and not in the field. bus already so big.....wheels already on lane divider when normal driving, now need to avoid cyclist and wat not.

If after internal investigation by Tower Transit that the driver is not at fault, hope they can launch a claim for loss of revenue & time against this type of entitled cyclist. And hope the amount is high enough to let it be a very very strong deterrent as well.

1 is cycling for leisure, the other for work. SG roads are congested & the width is really not meant to be shared between vehicles & cyclists at the same time. Cars or vehicles are getting "fatter". Same goes for parking lots.

There was also a previous case of the cyclist holding up traffic, which includes a public bus, at Sengkang
